Sick kitty

Aside from the usual fine writing and acting, this one includes sick Kitty. Which makes it hard to watch if you've ever had a terminal pet.

The Closer never fails to deliver twists and turns often with a Columbo style to it. There's something said or done that gives Brenda the how or who did it as long as you watch close enough to catch it.

This ep truly turned my heart because of Kitty. I love animals and have had to have a few put to sleep and every time my heart hurt me deeply.

There are only a couple ep's that aren't fantastic, and there's even a Flynn and Provenza moment which is always good. The other review not liking Raydor is short sighted as her character was well developed over the course of the series.

Capt Raydor is the kind of character that could single handedly sink an otherwise popular series. This one dimensional martinet was probably added as a hurdle for the protagonist but they went to far. Who knows if this portrayal was the idea of the writers and producers or the actor. But, no matter this character is painful to watch. And I think is irritating enough to hurt rating for the show. In any organization there are people working against the flow. But not to this extreme. And apparently I don't understand the rank structure of the Los Angles Police Department. It doesn't seem to make sense that a Captain could ignore the wishes of a Deputy Chief as this character does in this episode and the next. I can only hope the producers and writers will kill off this character and find some other way to challenge the regular cast.
