For this episode I'd like to give Rafael all the credit, his outstanding performance was what carried the episode till the end, and to think that this is his first major project?! This was honestly the best episode of Lone Star, hands down.

There is no bank of that name. On the map they were nowhere near 3rd street.
Guadalupe is a major street in Austin. Anybody from here would know that the street is pronounced Gaud-uh-Loop. So how does a Texas Ranger from Austin.
The "villain" is just too much of a villain. His motivations are so super-villain. I do bad things because I am bad.

These Are The Days of Our Lives

I've been bingeing the first two seasons of this show, and I agree with others who've said the second season is turning into a soap opera. It's so melodramatic and the focus has gone from the action of the 911 calls to putting the cast into extraordinary emotional story lines meant to pull at the audience's heart strings. This episode was pretty good, because it focused mostly on the action of the calls, but they couldn't avoid melodrama when they hired Tara Buck to play the female kidnapper. Her over the top acting and comic book villain facial expressions were eye roll worthy, and we were immediately reminded how she used to play the hysterical, ditzy barmaid from Fangtasia on True Blood. She turned what could have been a great, tense, dramatic scene into a farce with her big, bad acting choices. Be careful, writers. If you keep going down this path, you're going to turn a good show into a joke.
