Despite turning down a role in this film, Corey Haim announced he would take part in a fourth installment. But he died before anything could come of the project.
The final installment of original The Lost Boys Trilogy. This film was supposed to have a follow-up trilogy featuring The Frog Brothers fighting off werewolves and a TV Series all of which Corey Feldman and Jamison Newlander were to return. However, Warner Premiere, the studio behind the latter two sequels, went bust and all The Lost Boys franchise plans were dropped.
After Edgar is thrown into the comic book shelves, a copy of 'Lost Boys: Reign of Frogs' can be seen as he starts to get up.
The opening in which Alan and Edgar are battling vampires in the White House is directly taken from the comic book series Lost Boys: Reign of Frogs. However, in the comics it is revealed the entire story is a fabrication from Edgar whilst in this film it seems true.
When talking to Edgar, Gwen mentions Santa Carla and Luna Bay. These were the settings for The Lost Boys and Lost Boys: The Tribe respectively.
