Strong start to the season

Great characters moments here especially with Layla, i'm so proud of this girl. IMO All American writers know how to write mental health realistically as evidenced in the Layla & Carrie scenes. Hey. I don't like Billy esp when he's in his judgmental state but he did say something true about Spencer & his Savior complex. Spencer and someone else really need to work on this flaw before it costs them more. Gotta say the premiere played with my emotions but I'm happy with the outcome. Ready for what's next to come.

Boring premiere.

Warning: Spoilers
They are clearly reaching to be the « woke » version of One Tree Hill. But don't have the writing skills for it. It was all so predictable and full of resolutions that felt more like cop outs. To explain budget cuts and such. This show is anything but bold, and always choose to play it safe. Which surprises me, because old teen dramas, which this one is heavily inspired on. Knew how to push the envelop and take risks. It even made me miss that 90210 reboot, that was yet the safest teen drama on The CW lineup. The acting was ok, but I'm a little sick of the overacted « thug ways ». Even from characters that are supposed to be from the richest side of town. I'm going to miss Layla's glasshouse, though...
