- Clark tells Oliver that he must kill Davis, but Clark deals with the fact that he can't take a human life. This leaves the justice league to take the affair on their own hands. Then, Rokk Krinn teleports from the 31st Century to give Clark another Legion time-traveling ring so Clark can exile Davis/Doomsday to the future. But in a surprising twist, Lois confronts Tess about her nefarious plans involving a mysterious crystal and in the fight, Lois accidentally finds Rokk's ring, and gets zapped into the future. Meanwhile, Chloe gets in the middle of Clark and Oliver's fight about Doomsday's human carnage, in which Dianah/Black Cannary and Bart/Impulse intervene. Jimmy finds out Clark's identity, leading to a fateful showdown when Clark attempts to use black kryptonite to split Davis from Doomsday and seal the beast in a large hole in the ground. But nobody is prepared for what Davis will do afterwords.—lneira1
- We see somebody flying through the city of Metropolis. He lands on the roof of the Daily Planet where it is revealed that it is Cosmic Boy, the Legion member from the future (Ryan Kennedy). He has traveled back in time again to warn Clark. He tells him that the future is fine but Clark is no longer there. He is going to die tomorrow. DoomsDay is going to kill him. When Clark saved Chloe, he saved her connection with DoomsDay. She tried to kill him with Kryptonite which made him un-stopable. She stopped him from sending him to the Phantom Zone. He brings out another Legion Time Traveling ring and tells Clark to send DoomsDay to the future. The Legion in the future will be ready to fight him. Clark says no and that maybe he is fullfilling his destiny by dying.
We see Davis and Chloe looking at the stars. He mentions the story of Persephone and how she was taken away to live with Hades. She choose to stay with him even after given a choice to leave. Davis believes that it mirrors their situation. He still thinks that Chloe is staying with him because she is love with him.
Tess's team find Chloe and Davis again. At the same time, her vault which houses the talking Orb has exploded. The Orb is now missing. Tess demands that they find out who stole it and where it went. Thousands of lives depend on it. Her security team points out that the doors of the vault were blown from the inside out.
Clark is looking at the Legion ring while writing a farewell letter to the citizens of Metroplis at the Daily Planet. Lois walks in piss off that Clark is not doing anything to find Chloe. She notices that Clark is writing something but when she gets close, Clark closes the document. Lois returns to her side of the desk as Clark superspeeds away. Her phone suddenly rings and Clark is talking through his distorted cell phone. Lois is now talking to the Red-Blue Blur. Clark asks her to publish a letter for him when he goes away. He hints that he is going to die and Lois mentions that she thought he was invincible. He superspeeds and puts the letter on her computer. He tells her to publish it tomorrow. She asks to meet him and what he thinks about telephone booths. Clark is currently in the lobby telephone booth. She says that their a telephone booth on the corner of some streets that I can't remember and that she will meet him there at midnight.
At the barn, Clark is meeting with Dinah (Black Cannery) and Bart (Impulse). They are looking at the schematics for Geothermal LuthorCorp facility. He gives Bart the black kryptonite and says that it will split Davis into DoomsDay and regular Davis. Clark will then push him into the deep hole in the ground which almost goes to the Earth's core. They will set explosives down there and send him the Earth's core. Surely that will kill him... Oliver walks in and Clark is not happy to see him. Clark says that Oliver murdered Lex Luthor so he is not a hero anymore. They argue again about what happens if the plan does not work, how more lives need to be lost, blah blah...
At the Daily Planet, we see Jimmy break into Tess's office. He is talking to Oliver about some decoding program he has on his flash drive. He pulls into her chair when he accidently kicks Lois who is hiding under the table. Jimmy plugs the flash drive into her computer and it decrypts all of the files. It shows the location of Davis and Chloe. He relays this message to Oliver. Jimmy leaves and tells Lois to let him know if the dot in the screen moves. Lois opens another file where Tess is interagating one of Lex's workers. They are talking about the Orb. He says that the Orb has the power to end the world.
Black Cannery calls Clark to tell him that they have found Davis and Chloe. He superspeeds there only to find a very smashed car. Davis and Chloe are no where to be seen. Oliver emerges and shoots Clark with a kryptonite arrow. Black Cannery says that they could not risk losing him. Clark begs them not to do this. He falls down and bruises his face.
Back at the Daily Planet, Tess confronts Lois. Tess asks her what she did with the Orb. Lois claims that she has no idea what she is talking about. They fight. A pretty good one considering that the both of them are wearing some pretty high heels. How their heels don't break from doing all of those jump kicks and kung-fu moves, I have no idea. Lois throws Tess off of her desk where she slids into the file cabinets. She is knocked out. From the struggle, Lois accidently find the time traveling Legion ring. It is a mystery as to why Clark would leave such important artifacts just lying around is beyond me. Lois touches it, looks confused and then completely vanishes. Did she go to the future or the past??? Guess we will find out next season...
Chloe wakes up at the Geothermal LuthorCorp facility seeing Green Arrow, Black Cannery and Impulse looking over an un-conscious Davis. Bart tells her that he knocked them out by superspeed punching them. She realizes that they are there to kill him. Davis wakes up and says that it is the only way. Even having her around it not enough for him to control his urges. She sees the Black Kryptonite. Davis begins to change and throws Black Cannery aside. Green Arrow prepares to shoot him. Chloe jumps in front and stabs Davis with the Black Kryptonite. It splits Davis into human and DoomsDay. He throws Green Arrow and Impulse around and leaves the facility.
Jimmy arrives at the site where Clark is lying on the ground with the Kryptonite arrow sticking out of his back. He asks Jimmy to pull the arrow out. Jimmy is confused. He pulls the arrow out and the wound on Clark's face heals immediately. He figures it out that Clark is superhuman somehow. Clark admits that he is the Red-Blue Blur. He commends Jimmy on figuring out who he was and that Davis was bad. Only he put everything together. He tells Jimmy that he needs to take Chloe and Davis to Jimmy's wedding present to Chloe. He never got around to giving it to her. Jimmy is confused as to why he needs to help Davis. Clark asks Jimmy to trust him and superspeeds away. Jimmy is amazed...
Clark arrives at the facility to find everyone unconscious. He goes to Chloe and she tells him that she split Doomsday in two. The real DoomsDay is on the loose now. He looks at Oliver and asks if he can trust them to do the right thing. They need to blow up the tunnel once he gets DoomsDay down there. We cut to the scene in Metropolis where Doomsday is destroying everything. People are running in panic. He throws a woman through the glass window of a shop and grabs her daughter. Clark arrives to save the daughter and stash her away in some garbage bags. He turns around and notices the telephone booth that he was suppose to be meet Lois at. DoomsDay grabs him and proceeds to beat the crap out of Clark. Clark is bleeding and things are not looking so good. Clark braces himself and super Jumps and tackles DoomsDay into the sky. His jump is soo accurate that they land exactly in the Geothermal LuthorCorp facility shaft and we see a huge explosion.
Jimmy has taken Chloe and Davis to his wedding present to her. Davis is still unconsious from his split. It is a building in Metropolis called 'The WatchTower'. He had saved up enough money to buy it for her and he thought they would be able to start a life together. The building can be seen from any point in Metropolis. Now if she ever missed him, she could look up and see the WatchTower and know that he was also thinking about her. She is extremely touched. He is always doing the right thing. Jimmy tells her that she knows about Clark's super powers and that he now finally understands. Chloe admits that the only reason she is with Davis is because she wanted to protect Clark. She never stopped loving him. They kiss. Chloe apologizes again that she left but that she never ever left him. They kiss again. Suddenly something is wrong as we see a pipe sticking out of Jimmy's chest. Blood starts to come out of his month. Davis stabbed Jimmy with a pipe. He is pretty pissed off now. He starts yelling at her about tricking him. He thought that she really loved him. He goes to stab Chloe. He is suddenly tackled from behind by Jimmy who is barely able to stand. He knocks Davis into some more pipes where one of them stabs him. Jimmy falls down and Chloe goes to him. In his last breathe, Jimmy tells Chloe that he will always love her. He dies...
At Jimmy's funeral, we see everyone except Clark. Chloe leaves some photo negatives of her and Jimmy on his casket. It is revealed that his real name is 'Henry James Olson'. She notices a little boy who is Jimmy's younger brother. She goes to him and gives him Jimmy's camera. He would have wanted him to have it. She tells him that he might want to one day follow in his brother's foot steps. It is entirely possible that the Jimmy we have come to love is not actually the Jimmy Olson that we know about in the comic books. Since his first name is Henry, it is possible that the younger brother's name is actually Jimmy. Remember that he had a falling out with his family. Finally we see Clark in the background. Oliver looks at him and walks away.
Clark goes to the Watchtower where he meets Chloe. He is looking at the huge blood stain on the ground where Jimmy died. She is happy to see him and was wondering what had happened to him. He says that he does not know. Somehow when they set the explosives, he managed to get out. He is not sure what happened. Chloe was scared that she had lost everyone. Clark mentions that he looked everyone for Lois and can't find her. Clark tells her that she should leave this place and never look back. She disagrees. It feels like Jimmy is here. He is all around watching out for her. This is the new WatchTower. The Justice League and disbanded. The WatchTower could be their new home. A central meeting place to look over the city. Clark says that he had put humanity up on a pedestal but it was a human that killed Jimmy. He goes on to say that the humanity side of him is his weakness. It is preventing him from becoming the hero that everyone needs him to be. He can't be emotionally attached and allow emotions to effect his decisions. He thinks that Oliver was right all along. He tells her that Clark Kent is dead and walks out of Chloe leaving her alone. The scene fades to black...
Back at the Luthor mansion, Tess walks into her office and notices that same blue glow coming from her office. She runs in and looks outside of her window. The Orb is now glowing even more now and then some guy appears in the middle of the lawn. A Kryptonian symbol of fire is burned onto the grass. It looks like the letter 'Z'. We here something say, 'ZOD'.
