Yet Another Of The Typically Vague And Light-On-Facts Netflix "Documentaries". Elisa Lam, A Nerdy, Impulsive Female Blogger From Canada, Decides To Visit Los Angeles, California, For Her "Sanity" (We HAD To Laugh At That!) And, While Staying At The "Notorious" Cecil Hotel, She Goes Mysteriously Missing. There Are Hundreds Of Shots Of The Hotel's Interior And Exterior. A Lot Of Time Is Spent On The History Of The Hotel And Also LA. There Are Dozens Of "Interviews" With The Interviewees Making Inane, Vague Observations And Giving Nearly The Same Information Over And Over. During The First Police Conference One Gets The Impression That The Lam Family Was Told To Do And Say Nothing. Then There Is The British Couple: Mike And Sabina Baugh. They Also Decide To Visit LA. And It Is From Them We Learn That The Hotel Is Basically One-Star Lodging (Tripadvisor? Expedia? Hotwire?) And That The Surrounding Neighborhood Is Called, Quaintly: "Skid Row"- "One Of The Most Dangerous And Violent Places In The United States Of America" And "One Of The Poorest Areas In The Entire World". Then Comes The Search Of The Hotel For Elisa, Which Has Been Hinted At Several Times, But The LAPD Starts With An Inefficient Room-To-Room Search Hours Before The Decision To Bring In Scent Dogs. At This Point In Time We Went To YouTube And Watched What Became Of Elisa In Like 20 Minutes.
