Elliott stubbornly takes the stand in a risky play making himself vulnerable to the prosecution. Mickey gives an excellent, credible and memorable closing argument, is it enough to sway the jury? Evidence suggests an even deeper layer to the onion of truth that still has him and those he loves in its cross-hairs.

Warning: Spoilers
The penultimate episode of The Lincoln Lawyer's first season largely deals with Trevor Elliott's desire - against the advice of his lawyer, Mickey Haller - to take the stand and testify on his own behalf. Yet Mickey can't do anything to dissuade his client from putting himself out there because Elliott wants to not only win the court case but also win in the 'Court of Public Opinion' as he says.

Meanwhile, Haller's other client, involved in Maggie McPherson's Soto case - his pregnant girlfriend - needs to gather evidence wearing a wire or the prosecution against Soto is going to collapse. And just when you think that everything is going to plan, Cisco drops a big bombshell on Haller surrounding the Elliott case - raising far more questions than Haller has answers to at the moment, which I definitely didn't see coming. Oh, and the jury is back, having reached it's deliberation in that trial.

All the storylines of the season are coming to a head. Something tells me that the final episode is going to be a beauty.

Trevor the Sociopath

Trevor lives on the edge and he risks it all for the thrill. Unfortunately for Mickey, he falls into a sophisticated trap. It's not about winning; it's about having utter control. Trevor puts it all out there so he can carry on in his sham existence. Good episode which ends with a thud. One more to go.

Hmm is the ex wife focused on the client or on herself?

She knows mickey has the big case but she demands him to talk to her witness that she told mickey to handle.. and the low blow telling him to make her wear a wire so that is how he would start mending things between them.. by trusting her.. that is ridiculous.. blackmailing mickey to do what she wants and using their daughter... but ok.. i am not surprised.. but imagine if it were the other way around.. she would do it but after that, cold.. but of course, we know mickey will do whatever she said and still be all in love with her.. ok then.

Trevor testifying.. dude what was he thinking.. he just made a fool of himself.. did not help himself there

Lol the manipulation from maggie was fun.. you have a choice.. i will not make you wear a wire, we can drop this and you can have your baby with him...... no alternative to getting the guy just the emotional argument.

Ok so mickey won the case after all.. well done..

and maggie almost got her witness killed. Wow, the police were able to get to the top so fast.. it made no sense.

Then mickey and trevor.. talking out loud and everybody just went deaf it seems.. i hate when they do that.. instead of going into a private space like an office.. they talk, in loud tones, in an open environment where everyone would be able to listen to what they are saying.. lol.

Come on mickey.. at the end.. deserted place.. no cars, no people.. and he just goes out of the car.... dumb.

I can see the big hole in the plot

Warning: Spoilers
Shouldn't Mickey's math include the time of the murders? With those there would have been a clean case and no Tv show for that matter. The tricks the script writers do!
