Glad to see my favorite word getting its time in the spotlight, though this was less history and more personal feelings.

If nothing else it's interesting.

Like many people I have often wondered about the origin of certain words. This series addresses some of the most commonly used words in the Western world.
Specifically words that denote anger, happiness, revelation, surprise, and a thousand different circumstances. Episode one delves into the king of them all.
I liked it.

Nicholas Cage presents the first in a series that looks at the origin of curse words. In this episode, the title speaks for itself in regards to which word it covers.
There is a knowing self mocking aren't we being clever and using naughty words style to this. How much the style works is going to be a matter of opinion. As with lots of documentaries of this kind, a lot of the talking heads it uses are comedians who I have never heard of. And you wouldn't know they were comedians if it didn't say because they are not funny.
Cage is appealing though. He gets the tone of hosting this exactly right.
Amongst it all are lots of general musings, but more interesting than those are genuine bits of information about language and how it and has been used on film. You will learn from these.
I liked watching this. At just over twenty mins it didn't outstay it's welcome, and it was interesting all in all.
