Camelot Entertainment will co-produce an interactive zombie comedy titled Deliver Me to Hell, about zombie filled streets where only delivery boys brave to save the world.
Hell is to be produced by New Zealand filmmaker Logan McMillan (Last of the Living), who originally created an interactive short to promote the pizza chain Hell's Pizza. It's an interactive adventure where the viewer chooses the path of characters and decides their fate. To date, the short has received over 5.9 million views on YouTube.
"I've worked with Logan on his first movie so I know his talent," says Jessica Kelly, Co-President of Cdg. "When he pitched us the idea, it was too creative and refreshing to pass up. It might even be the beginning to a new line of interactive films for Camelot."
Head inside for a peek at the original short.

Is the release of author David Moody's Autumn: Purification too much to bear? Then today is your luck day. Moody has just released a novella, titled "Duck and Cover," from the Autumn universe. This is a 10,000 word read available at Last of the Living for free!
In this novella, Councillor Ray Cox attempts to deal with a developing tragedy in the town of Taychester. One councillor versus the hordes of undead will clearly leave only one winner. More details on "Duck and Cover" are below, along with a link to said pages.
The outline for the novella is here:
"Councillor Ray Cox never wanted this level of responsibility. He went into local politics for the social status, the financial benefits and the personal perks, never to actually try and help anyone.
Things have suddenly changed.
The population of Taychester has been wiped out, and Ray's the only council member left alive.

Director: Griff Furst.
Writer: Richard Matheson and Geoff Meed.
You know you are cheap when you find yourself rooting around bargain bins for the best horror deals. Sometimes, this characteristic pays off and that is the case with The Midnight Horror Collection: Flesh Eating Zombies. This late 2010 release offers four features for under ten dollars. Included in this film anthology are Grave Mistake, Awaken the Dead, Last of the Living and the film reviewed here, I Am Omega. Echo Bridge Entertainment re-released each of these films for fans of the undead on celluloid August, 2010.
I Am Omega is one of The Asylum's mockbusters, which attempted to capitalize on the looming success of I Am Legend, starring Will Smith. Both films were released within a month of each other and this film is another action film based on Richard Matheson's novel, I Am Legend. Like an '80s action throwback,...

Last of the Living is a zombie styled thriller from New Zealand. This title was completed in 2008 by Gorilla Pictures, with a release of this title in the land of the kiwis in 2009. This film infection spread to North America in early 2010 thanks to Echo Bridge Entertainment. Full of fart gags and slow moving zombies, Last of the Living makes fun of itself and its characters through silly humour and situations.
The film begins with three underachievers holed up in a fortified house. Here, Ash (Ashleigh Southam), Johnny (Robert Faith), and Morgan (Morgan Williams) play video games and eat chips to their heart's content, as the zombie hordes take over the land. Moving from one locale to another introduces a female scientist into this testosterone mix. Soon each man clumsily seeks her focused yet distracted attention. But this woman's heart cannot be won by goofy lines...

Being a zombie movie fan, I’ve sat through some great ones (Fulci’s Zombie) and some real junk like Children of the Living Dead, but no matter what I go into all of them with an open mind and hoping for the best. Is this the one that finally tops Fulci’s or another one that causes my mind to wander and ponder life’s great mysteries—like Freddie Prinze, Jr. having an acting career.
One thing I never look forward to is the zombie comedy. They never turn out scary or funny because the filmmaker tries too hard to make them so. Obviously, there are exceptions like Shaun of the Dead and the relatively unknown Dance of the Dead. Granted, the whole concept of the dead coming back to life to eat the living is ridiculous enough (although when they die, I’m posting a...

Last of the Living is a little Australian horror film that will be available in the Us and Canada March 2nd through Quantum Releasing. In case you are wondering, no this writer, publisher, reviewer is not bitter about several promises from director Logan Mcmillan to send a screener of the film, here. Well maybe there is a little bitterness left over. Yet, the film is worth a second look, despite some apathy on the part of Quantum because Last of the Living is a curious little film that was made for approximately 45k. The film seems to hold some kind of charm and a definitive love for the zombie horror sub-genre. If you have not seen the trailer then here is one emphatic vote that you spend a few moments immersing yourself in Last of the Living, an ozzie film with style.

Some decent DVD news today gang. Echo Bridge Home Entertainment is finally giving Logan McMillan's New Zealand made slacker zomedy, Last of the Living, (review) a release here in the Americas so check that out.
One film I've really been waiting to see on the ol' flat screen is Chris Nahon's live action Blood the Last Vampire (review). I can't explain it. It's just one of those films that, despite middling reviews, still beckons me with outrageousness.
Probably the film I'm most looking forward to having kill two of my prescious life hours though is British assassin actioner, The Tournament (review) which comes at us like a bullet from Weinstein Co.
And of course how can we forget Wrong Turn 3: Left for Dead, the lastest in the decreasingly decent Wrong Turn legacy. Actually scratch that, "Dead End" wasn't bad at all. In fact, Henry Rollins totally made the film awesome.

It looks like a week of just a few hits and mostly misses when it comes to DVD and Blu-ray releases, but as always, it's our job to keep you guys in the loop on what's coming, so head on in and see what you might want to add to your collection.
First on the list is The William Castle Film Collection, a must-have for all ages. And it includes the stellar Spine Tingler! The William Castle Story (review here) documentary, so it's definitely a win-win. Finally, the long-awaited 100 Feet hits the home market, and while I must admit I was a bit disappointed in the ending, it was a fun ride while it lasted, and Famke Janssen gives her all. Another fun ride (again, up until the predicable ending) is Blood: The Last Vampire; if you're planning on picking it up and have the tech, be sure to grab the Blu-ray.

Echo Bridge Entertainment's newest zomedy unfortunately isn't as funny as it thinks it is. Last of the Living is Shaun of the Dead meets Napoleon Dynamite that follows three survivors of a zombi apocalypse. The slackers Morgan, Ash and Johnny spend their days drinking beer and watching movies in various abandoned mansions, until they stumble upon a woman who may have the cure for the flesh-eating outbreak. The three friends must then decide if they would rather risk their lives to save the human race, or continue with their new found lives of doing nothing.

A true Pa zombie comedy from New Zealand, Logan McMillian’s ‘Last of the Living’ starts off with the end of the world thanks to that dang old plague of flesh eating zombies destroying almost all of humanity. Three buddies Ash, Morgan and Johnny happen to live a very comfortable life though, moving from vacant house to vacant house and raiding shopping malls for beer, chips and DVDs. Bored of their latest home the guys pack up Johnny’s car and head to pastures new. Deciding that a church might be fun for a while, they run into Stef and her father. Stef is a feisty young scientist looking for a zombie blood sample to help find a cure and reverse the effects of the plague, and after some persuasion the boys agree...
