Not near as good as good as the OG

Only based on episode one. I will update, since I think it is worth sticking it out. I was a fan of the original, but so far I think they have made it too easy having the stores on site, and the budgets are gone. What made the original show fun was seeing the designers forced to stick with a budget, and going to places like the dollar stores, thrift markets, and using repurposed items in order not to go over budget on their assignments. Also; the new judges have not impressed me much hopefully that'll get better. One good thing I enjoyed was the new spaces each designer gets, they did improve on those. Give it a try if design is your thing, you might enjoy episode 1 more then I did. If you're offended by alternative life styles (I'm not, but that make up job on Miss what's her name atrocious), then you should skip it. This is definitely made for the "Next Generation". I'm just in hopes they'll get serious now.

Warning: Spoilers
Nothing was unique or interesting to look at in my opinion. Everything looked super kitschy and harkened so much back to the 1980's. If this is where we are headed with "modern contemporary design", count me out. The only contestant who seemed to have any depth was Chris. At least he used colors that are pleasing to go together, interesting wallpapers and decorated tastefully. Especially the "I Love Lucy" episode, he's the only one who truly followed the rules of incorporating the kitchen show set while still making it feel updated and liveable.
