I loved the ending. Frank gets it. He really does. After seeing where Lip is headed, it makes me wish he'd finish MIT.

Liam taking care of Frank is the most beautiful thing that you can find on tv right now. I've always thought that there was some kind of a special bond between these two. And watching everyone moving on with their own life makes me happy and sad at the same time. I can't belive it's been ten years!! I'm really going to miss Shameless!

This episode reminded me of when you decide it's the right time to put down a pet and then all of a sudden it has a great day and you start questioning if it's the right thing to do. I thought I was ready for Shameless to be over for good but after how good this episode was, now I'm not sure but just like your pet you realize in the end it's time. Great episode, probably top 10 of the series. I am sure next weeks series finale will be bittersweet. And wow am I going to miss V's jumpsuits.

I still haven't seen the finale, but this was one of the best episodes of Shameless so far. Like an emotional rollercoaster, this episode made me laugh so hard but also cry towards the end.
I loved everything about this episode; can't wait to see what the ending looks like!

Much of this episode is forced or unnecessary. Mickey's problems with the new neighborhood. Or Carl's moral problems with his work. Why is Ian flirting with someone in the second to last episode? Why is an entirely new character introduced in the penultimate episode? Carl just has a baby now and suddenly gets along well with Tish? Debby is still looking for a girlfriend in the penultimate episode, even though she already had one?
Sure, there were some really sad moments, mostly with Frank. But the previously mentioned inconsistencies made the episode much less good for me than the previous ones this season.

There are a lot of reviews lately that think this season has been incredible so my guess is this will offend those people because I haven't been as impressed with the writers. The cast is great actors, my opinion on the show has nothing to do with their exceptional talent. Here is just a couple quick thoughts on the episode:
-I hate what the writers did to Fiona. I was really hoping she would appear before the series ended but clearly they didn't part on good terms. I mean the characters don't even mention her name, it's like the writers just erased her entire existence.
-How many kids does Carl have?! Like is Tish carrying is kid and also didn't Frank give Katey Segal's character Carl's sperm to implant instead of his own? I'd kinda like some follow up on that.
-I love the characters Kev and V but for the last several seasons they have been their own show. They have barely interacted with the Gallaghers and their story lines are completely independent. So them moving away isn't as sad as it would have been a couple seasons ago.
-I'm really worried about what's in Frank's note.. I'm hoping it isn't like a Roseanne/ jumping the shark thing that says he has millions hidden away or that he won some lottery ticket and is leaving it to them.
-Debbie is still terrible and her storyline makes no sense. Someone threatens to shoot your daughter and you immediately want to date them? I mean..
-I like Liam and Frank's last hurrah. Liam owes Frank nothing but still wants to help him.
-Mickey living on the west side is a strange storyline. That's just not his character and I don't know why they are pushing the idea that your neighborhood is what defines your level of success. They still could have been "moving on" in a way that felt less forced and out of character.
-Lip can't catch a break. And it reminds me of Fiona who always had to do the heavy lifting and took care of everything and everyone took that for granted. It would be a great opportunity for the writers to have had Lip reach out to Fiona and just be like- I don't know how you did it, we wouldn't have made it without you. I guess I'm still bitter about them completely ignoring Fiona when she literally raised them all and never got a thank you.
Again, my complaints are with the writers/ storyline, not the actors.

Okay, I'm almost there. One more episode to go.
This whole season could have benefited from some planning. They knew it was the last season and yet there were still a bunch of filler episodes that didn't drive the plot (Carl is a vice cop, stealing from the bike shop, Tami's ex-lover/teacher, the whole Milkovich subplot, Debbie is sex-offender, etc).
Lip gets dumber and dumberer although it's good that he started drinking for only one night and it turns out he's not really addicted or he'd still be drinking. Hey, Lip, if the other three houses on your street are going to be rebuilt then your property value will skyrocket. Hey, Lip, why did you sell your valuable bike to the first guy who walked into your garage? Market on this new thing called "the internet" and get twice as much. How a guy who used to act as a TA at the University of Chicago can't figure out how to work the internet is implausible. This whole "poor Lip" thing is tiresome.
