Since when did V start hating white people so much?
amyrautbort15 October 2021
I gave this episode 7 stars because of the selling the house drama and Ian and Mickey's quest to find gay friends. I'm not sure what happened with V though, she used to be so cool and edgy. Now despite the fact that she's in a long term relationship and has two children with Kevin (a white guy), she now seems to hate most white people and just put them down at every turn. I far from understand the struggle of black people in America, but it's super repetitive at this point. We get it V, white people are all evil and awful and black people are just better.

Tammy is the worst character ever.
heatherdcarpenter9 September 2022
Warning: Spoilers
Every single character in this show is human; they make mistakes, there are moments where you hate them, moments of redemption. That's what makes this show so great. But I came say without a doubt that Tammy is the WORST character ever. She's horribly selfish, self centered and unwilling to budge. In all honesty her character ruined the final season for me and it makes me sad that this is the person that Lip ends up with. Glad she wasn't around for more than the last seasons.

Aside from that great episode and stellar acting. The Frank storyline is a realistic and fitting end, though it tugs at the heartstrings. Love Ian and Mickey- per usual.

Reality check.

Yes great writing , yes nearing the end of another chapter of a great Showtime show. The actors all are top notch , they really become their charactors. You actually feel sorry what Frank is going thru now and his look in his face tells you even his hated charactor for years is a real human being. Debbie is a trooper , unfortunately she brings excess baggage into the fold with troubled Sandy. Carl needs to grasp his situation better , he was smart , then his grey cells got clouded up , if his date the week before said she was on the pill , then his little breakdown would never have escalated into this weeks mess. Kev got wise and got rid of a possible problem. The comic side of the episode has to be Mickey , he is a hoot and Ian is straight laced . I believe when asked to party , pass the duck . The Sledgehammer , well its about time , serve the food or laundry thru the new whole in the wall.

So good

I'm actually sad. This is coming to an end and you can feel it. I'm 28 and these characters were kids like me when I first started watching this show. The writing, acting is second to very few. The directing is great to for a comedy drama. I'm gonna truly miss this show. I wanted to get old with these characters

Mickey's family!

Warning: Spoilers
Loved the episode.

Even though Frank is losing it, he still got it. Weaseling his way around town. Looking forward to him raising hell until the end. Mickey and Ian's reaction to "the gays" is exactly why I love them. The credit scene was awesome. So great to Noel bust a move and sing. Loved it. This episode was probably the first time in 10 1/2 where Kev annoyed the heck out of me. What was he thinking? Oh wait. Sandy is turning out to be insufferable. The way she turned the issue around on Debbie, that is what your typical liar does. Lip is definitely going through some stuff. He wants to support his family so bad that it seems to be getting to him. He's losing his marbles. Not gonna lie. This season has already jumped ahead of s9 & 10 for me. So much is happening now and we still have 5 more episodes to.

Now I wished the show wasn't this good

Just at the brink of its twilight episodes, the show suddenly feels like the actual Shameless which we all loved. The characters are coming to life after ages. Mind you I never thought I would say so but here it is "I'm on Debby's side".

Episode 11-7

Warning: Spoilers
It was what it is at this point. I feel like there's still drama worth watching and a few clever lines a week, but the show does not have the same magic to it. It is ending at the right time.

It just makes me angry
bbraat6 January 2022
I used to watch the early and mid years episodes of Shameless at least two times each before I'd watch the next episode. Now I am watching this as quickly as possible to get it over.

Originally the Gs were poor and held back by their humble beginnings and their inborn shame but obviously intelligent and (mostly) decent people. Lip is supposed to be a world-class genius adept in physics, math, and most other subjects. Now he's a mediocre motorcycle mechanic who can't seem to keep a job. Fiona, Liam, Ian, and Debbie was also supposed to be very intelligent. Now, most of the other Gs have become so stupid, even living next to the Milkoviches, that they probably should not be allowed to breed.

Kevin and Lip just kept doing incredibly stupid things in this short episode that I kept praying for the end of the episode so that the idiocy would end. When the cops showed up I said, "Oh thank God. This will finally stop it". I was waiting for Debbie's girlfriend to turn out to be an alien from Venus since they had added every other stupid plot twist in that relationship.

V has turned into a bitter racist a la Spike Lee or Shaun White without Fiona around to soften her. She wants to keep the South Side black and, presumably, crime ridden and poor rather than allow non-blacks to move into the neighborhood. She forgets that her daughters are half white as is her brother (yeah, who is also her step-son).

Everyone in the cast must now be black and/or gay. Carl was a rookie cop for two episodes and now we'll never see him work again. I could go on forever.

Horrible
Kentor110 May 2021
Dont you just love it when a show thats been on tv for like 10 years comes to and end in a couple of episodes, and the writers decide to add horrible storylines. Make kevin stupid, make Debbie even WORSE and make tami the most boring main charachter in the show.

Frank is the only thing that makes me want to finish this season.

Gallavitch Needs a Spinoff.
setgetsiin21 May 2021
The ONLY redeeming quality left is Mickey and Ian. Most of the rest is garbage.

Debbie somehow got more unbearable (original Debbie from UK version was amazing, I hate what they did with the character). Kevin was always stupid but he never hurt anyone (but himself and occasionally his wife).

I am ending up skipping over everything this season...which is something I had to do most of last season as well. Maybe for the last few seasons. I might just stop wasting time and look for spoilers online and throw in the towel.

But I'm still in for the Gallavitch Spinoff. MAKE THAT HAPPEN.

Were we watching the same episode?!
bthomas1000313 March 2021
Warning: Spoilers
I have to agree with @suzasailor, some you definitely drank the Kool-Aid. This was bad, very, very bad. I was rooting for this last season hoping that it would go back to its glory days, boy was I disappointed. Kev's story was horrendous, too dumb for even him. I was hoping that V & Kev would finally be able to marry. I wanted Kev's estranged wife to finally make an appearance ( I was actually wanted Steve's wife, soon to be ex-wife Sarah Shahi to play the estranged wife). Debby & Sandy WTF!! She's married AND has a kid!!!, why even bother. It was ashame that this was nothing more than another lesbian story that wasn't going anywhere. I wanted Sandy to be the proverbial anchor for Debbie and help her grow as a individual, but no. It appears that Sandy was there just to give Debbie some pointless story arc, as it seems that Sandy is gone after the next episode. That's too bad because I like Sandy. Carl, well nothing needs to said about him, other than wash, rinse, repeat. Lip & Tami snooze fest. Mickey & Ian are being the comic relief for the show. There is not enough of Frank and his dementia which would be a perfect story plot because he can't con his way out of this, it would be the ultimate Karma for him. Liam is by far my favorite, who knew that after nearly 11 years, it's Liam that want to see succeed, he is the heart of this screwed up family, he deserves better.

I don't know whos been drinking the kool-aid, but this wasn't a great episode.
suzasailor11 March 2021
This was just bad, it had a few funny moments but many of the plot lines made from previous episodes have little pay off and some cringe worthy reactions. Looking at you Kev. There are little surprises left here and you can guess what is gonna happen by the finale. Ian and Mickey had probably the funniest story line this episode while Tammy is still the worst, Deb is annoying, Lip is still going through the motions, Carl was worth a laugh but overall pointless( like most the season) and Frank is just tired....the whole show feels tired and barely on life support crawling to the finish. I hope the ending will have some redeeming qualities. So this show should have ended a few seasons ago.

Urgh....
gilesstevens4 September 2023
I started binge watching Shameless USA a couple of months ago. The first few series were superb. Far superior to the original British version I remember. I would often howl with laughter and just about every character was endearing, even Frank at times!

Then something happened - and let's be honest this isn't just a Shameless thing. US TV shows became infected with such tedious pious storylines. The previously likeable characters became insufferable. Everything suddenly became about race and racism.

I recall the same thing happened to the excellent show 'This Is Us' that also ended up unwatchable.

Back to Shameless - I'm really not sure why I've stuck it out to series 11. Maybe it's some misplaced hope that the storylines would return to their former glory but I can barely concentrate on what's going on now...
