Does John have time to teach journalism?...
AlsExGal6 October 2020
Because THIS is what journalists should be doing.

He starts out his main subject on election 2020 with a public service message by pole dancers stressing the importance of local elections. Although I think when the GOP asks for "poll watchers" they might get too many volunteers thinking THIS is what they meant.

He pretty much hits all of the points that voters need to know about the election that are pretty unique to 2020 - that we will not know the winner for weeks unless it is a blow out, that the delay may entail a "blue shift" as in person votes are counted first and mailed ballots second, that you need to take care to follow the rules if voting by mail or you could find yourself years later, like one tattoo artist discovered, that your vote was never counted because you signature was invalidated, and he debunks all of the fraud stories surrounding mail in ballots. He shows a segment about one Fulton county Georgia voter who spent almost eight hours in line waiting to vote early. This persistent voter went through the entire discography of his favorite group and then watched an entire season of Curb Your Enthusiasm while standing in line. By that time it was one in the morning. This would make a good commercial for whatever phone he was using.

But what really helps is when John answers the question - what can you do about any of this? Vote early if you can, and if you vote by mail try to do that early and carefully as there are many GOP officials trying to throw monkey wrenches into vote by mail because they simply don't trust it. And finally, make sure your family and friends get this message too.

How hard is this to do? It's hard to make this entertaining maybe, that's John's forte, but it's not hard to convey the information. What do they teach in journalism schools today anyways?
