Hippie Hippie Shake
Opens: 2010
Cast: Cillian Murphy, Sienna Miller, Max Minghella, Emma Booth, Lee Ingleby
Director: Beeban Kidron
Summary: Follows the love story of Oz editor Richard Neville and Louise Ferrier. Neville and his cohorts launch the London edition of Oz amidst the 1960s counterculture and are subsequently put on trial for distributing a sexually explicit issue.
Analysis: One of the most troubled productions in Working Title's history, 'Hippie' began development back in 1998 but failed to get beyond script stage both in 1999 and in 2002 when "Elizabeth" helmer Shekhar Kapur was attached to direct. Filming finally got underway late 2007 with director Beeban Kidron in charge and shooting seemed to proceed without issue aside from feminist author Germaine Greer being vehemently unhappy about being depicted on film.
Actually the film scored quite a bit of free press for a skinny dipping scene where full-frontal shots of actress Sienna Miller shooting the sequence

Remember this image that was released a while back of Sylvester Stallone standing over those dead bodies wielding a couple of pistols from his new movie, The Expendables? Well, AICN have stumbled across some new raw footage that I think leads up to that photo.
AICN point it the fact that you have to remember this clip has had no other effects added to it, it is simply one shot from a crane camera and therefore don’t be surprised when it looks a bit naff!
The Expendables is a clash of the 80s & 90s hard men and has a cast which, as well as Stallone includes Anold Schwarzenegger, Bruce Willis, Mickey Rourke, Jason Statham, Dolph Lundgren, Jet Li and flying the flag for the girls, Charisma Carpenter and now (I still can’t believe it), the late Brittany Murphy. It’s out summer 2010 and we are looking forward to

From the age of five she was determined to be a Hollywood star
It has become something of a rite of passage for any young actress fresh on the Hollywood scene to be pencilled in to play Janis Joplin. Brittany Murphy, who has died unexpectedly aged 32, was one of several performers over the years who were attached to one Joplin biopic or another.
In this case, it was Piece of My Heart, for which Murphy auditioned successfully in 1999, but which was never made. It certainly was not much of a stretch to imagine her evoking the gusto and vulnerability required for that part.
Murphy was no run-of-the-mill star. In her first substantial role, as a greenhorn mentored by the coolest girl in school in the 1995 hit Clueless, she proved herself an inventive exponent of comedy. She demonstrated her versatility in dramatically intense films such as Girl, Interrupted and 8 Mile. She

The Clueless and Sin City actor has died of a heart attack aged 32. We look back at her key roles on film
Brittany Murphy was not one of the world's great actors. Nor, in recent years, was she even especially visible. But she was a performer of immense charm, with a knockout smile and a chuckling, bee-bop voice it was difficult not to be won over by.
For a spell in the early 90s, Murphy established herself as one of Hollywood's freshest, most engaging mainstream leads – a doll-eyed ditz with a hint of vaguely filthy goofiness. She was Scarlett Johansson a half-generation older: she shared that actor's old-school Hollywood glamour, the big curves on a little frame, and the brains behind the fluff. Both even had singing careers. But while Johansson teamed up with some solid mentors, and got films of real credibility under her belt, Murphy struggled to cement a career that,

What a strange bit of untimely news this morning. Who dies of a heart attack at age 32? Makes no sense. The above news headline isn't a case of bad taste -- I've decided to re-publish a Brittany Murphy interview we had on the site, which I had completely forgot that we had, but it serves as a reminder that the actress, known for bubbly roles as Jameson mentions in his intro below, and as of late, had some back to back films that went the direct to video route, should also be remembered for taking on some difficult, challenging indie parts as in Karen Moncrieff's film. - What a strange bit of untimely news this morning. From the quotable "Clueless" to the hard-bitten "8 Mile," Brittany Murphy has left behind a legacy of remarkable onscreen roles. But before her sudden death on Sunday, the 32-year-old actress also completed work on several films and was getting set to begin another in January. Not much is known about these low-profile projects, so MTV News got in touch with various producers and reps connected to the films to figure out their status and when audiences might have the chance to see the actress at work in the future.
"Abandoned"
Before her passing, Murphy completed work on this psychological thriller in which she plays a woman with a history of psychiatric issues who accompanies her boyfriend (Dean Cain) to the hospital for surgery, only to have him disappear without a trace.

Actress Brittany Murphy has died at the age of 32, Los Angeles hospital officials have confirmed.
According to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center spokeswoman Sally Stewart, Murphy died at 10:04 am local time on Sunday. Stewart would not provide a cause of death, or any further information.
The Los Angeles Fire Department responded to a call at 8 am from a home that is believed to belong to Murphy's husband, British screenwriter Simon Monjack.
Online reports suggest Murphy died after suffering a cardiac arrest at the Los Angeles home she shared with Monjack, where paramedics arrived after the actress' mother allegedly discovered her unconscious in the shower.
According to TMZ.com, Murphy could not be revived by paramedics and was pronounced dead on arrival at the hospital.
The actress' publicist Nicole Perna confirms the tragedy, but has not elaborated on the circumstances surrounding Murphy's death, telling WENN, "In this time of sadness, the family thanks you for your love and support. It is their wish that you respect their privacy."
Murphy's acting career began in the 1990s with small television, commercial and film roles. Her big break came when she landed a leading role in teen hit Clueless alongside Alicia Silverstone in 1995.
She is also well known for starring in Eminem's 8 Mile and comic-book adaptation Sin City.
The late star provided the voices for several animated characters, including Luanne Platter on more than 200 episodes of U.S. TV series King of the Hill and Gloria the penguin in 2006 film Happy Feet. That same year, she released the single Faster Kill Pussycat, which became a dance club hit.
Murphy recently wrapped her scenes in Sylvester Stallone's upcoming film, The Expendables, set for release next year.
She dated Ashton Kutcher and appeared as on-screen lovers with the hunk in 2003 comedy Just Married. The pair split the same year. She was later briefly engaged to production assistant Joe Macaluso in 2005, before marrying Monjack in a Jewish ceremony in 2007.
The Los Angeles Coroner’s office has launched an investigation into the cause of her death, reports RadarOnline.com.
