Handle with Care gives us breathing room after two hectic episodes, but it deserves praise for its acting and cinematography
Holt34426 April 2021
Well this is the first episode that I got a mixed opinion on, it's overall a great episode that has both great direction and cinematography. After the previous episode's events which had Virginia's death, it was unexpected but felt realistic, I can't wait to see June's character development.

But that's where the episode takes a nose dive as it goes forward in time and doesn't include Alicia, June's appearance was shorter than I expected and wanted. I'm happy Ruben Blades finally got some screen time and Daniel Salazar feels like a main character again, but without Dave Erickson, the character falls flat and the new showrunners have made him unrecognizable. I have to say its an improvement from S4 and 5 Daniel. Another thing I really disliked about the episode was the way it was told, bad dialogue and the horrible forth season.

But the episode wasn't all bad. I enjoyed most of it, some parts were like I said before, frustrating. But overall a good episode that you could call a bottle episode, it serves one purpose and it is to develop the characters as they build up to the next phase of the story and I can't wait for it. The storytelling didn't work for me but I hope it does for the rest of the audience. What I can say about 'Handle with Care' is that Ruben Blades and Colman Domingo's acting was phenomenal, truly terrific. Their characters get the most of character development and it's some much needed screen time and development for the characters who have been with the show since the beginning, the callbacks to Daniel Salazar's backstory was appreciated.

I think 7/10 is a good rating for the episode, now don't think it's a bad episode, far from it. It isn't on the same level on the other episodes. Handle With Care deserves your attention because of the brilliant acting and cinematography. It's also nice for some breathing room after two suspenseful episodes that had the death of John Dorie and Virginia, two great and well written characters, they were some of my favorites.

If you like this episode, you have totally forgotten who Daniel used to be
wlion211024 April 2021
The new showrunners have totally butchered Daniel's character. I hardly recognize the same man from pre-reboot Fear (a.k.a Season 1 - 3) who used to be the cold-blooded assassin of the group. This man did not smile, sing or talk too much like the pathetic, weak old man that stupid Ian Goldberg & Andrew Chambliss turned him into now. Even in his weakest moment when finding out about Ofelia's death, the way he dealt with it, pointing gun at Madison and telling her to get lost still gives him the badass look.

The Daniel from Season 1-3 could have single-handedly 'damaged Virginia crew from the inside', without needing silly MoMo's or anyone else's help. He would have never needed someone to rescue him when he was taken hostage with Grace by that only Virginia's right-handed guy. Now all they give him is sentimental dialogues blah blah blah and some kind of mental illness to make him look even weaker. Yes, Daniel is that kind of man who is haunted by his past. But he always kept it to himself and never talked too much like he is now to look for pitying looks from others!!

And look at these Fear characters now, are they really a group who have survived the apocalypse for a long time? Or are they a bunch of newborn whiny babies who immaturely quarrel and doubt one another? Look at Rick's group and how they treat each other after many years together, that is called "TRUST". This episode only shows how terrible Morgan is at being a group leader and how messed up they are as a group. Rick would be so disappointed.

OMG can someone just fire those stupid showrunners or cancel this show already FFS. Cause I cannot really stand seeing they keep butchering the OG characters anymore. Shame on you for destroying what used to be my favourite show.

Pretty good!
tobyford-7680824 April 2021
Fear TWD continues a strong streak of episodes with 'Handle with Care'. Daniel takes the front seat and delivers an impressive performance.

The episode is well shot; the cinematography of season 6 continues to be the best the show has ever produced.

The writing is taut, if not entirely thought provoking, and provides for some entertaining scenes here and there.

Despite this, the episode did feel somewhat lacking when contrasted to the previous episodes.

I wouldn't call it a road bump, but it lacked the thrilling intensity of the prior episodes. Regardless, still good television and doesn't hurt the season at all.

7.5/10.

I hate Charlie
pariisaap22 October 2021
Warning: Spoilers
I' m still waiting to see Charlie dead. The most disgusting character of FTWD. She killed Nick and now they trying to show that stinky girl so lovely and innocent. I hate to see her with Alicia.

Dakota killed John but she is not as disgusting as Charlie.

She'd better shut her mouth and don't give her stupid ideas. And why adult even listen to that stupid girl?

It is not a good idea to make a hero from people who kill popular characters and make audience to love them.

Great set-up episode with a deep-dive into Daniel's character
thesunshinestte24 April 2021
Warning: Spoilers
Really enjoyed this episode, I had been waiting for a Daniel story for a long time, and this one didn't disappoint. Some beautiful cinematography, but the writing itself is what makes this episode for me. I suppose that should come as no surprise, considering Powell wrote strong episodes such as "The Calm Before", "Remember" and "Internment" from the main show. Initially I was a little confused, but the writers took me on an enigmatic journey that made me think and reflect strongly on various factors and skeptical, but curious about some of the characters in the settlement. It definitely worked out pretty well in the end.

I liked that they continued to build on Daniel's PTSD subplot from 2A, his disturbing past is catching up to him, and he probably has an idea of what's coming. Hopefully this storyline will provide a satisfying pay off. Just to be clear, Daniel is NOT suffering from dementia as June confirmed his problems are psychological, not pshysical. Still, I keep coming back to the idea that she's being set up by someone from the inside. Could it be Wes, Luciana or Charlie? Is Strand playing mind games here? There's something fishy about the way he asked him to join him for Lawton. I guess we'll find out soon enough.

Even though I've grown to love the anthology format, I kinda liked that there were more people in this episode than usual. It's good to see the group working together, but there's definitely some internal differences and disagreement within the groups which makes the whole thing more interesting moving forward. I hope they'll continue to develop characters like Sherry, Sarah, Luciana and Wes, as I believe there's potential to give them better storylines in the future.

Lots of tension between Salazar and Strand, in some ways it reminded me about an OG Fear episode, and that's most certainly not a bad thing. The episode also works well as a setup for what's coming next. The End is The Beginning seems like a much larger threat than Virginia. Can't wait to see where they go from here, and I'm looking forward to an Alicia centric episode next week.

And hello, Skidmark!

Daniel's Memory
ZegMaarJus4 April 2023
Warning: Spoilers
This Episode begins with Daniel, he is playing music on his music booth. Morgan wants to work together with Victor. Walkers are attacking the wall, they reached the inside. Daniel thinks that Victor took the weapons. Victor got locked up by Daniel. June tells Daniel that he has problems with memory loss. Daniel moved the weapons, but he did not know it afterwards. Victor and Daniel made it up to each other. Victor is helping Daniel. Solid Episode of Fear the Walking Dead Season 6, not so exciting as the first Episodes in this Season. Curious to see how this will develop! The real action will come soon i hope!

"Handle with Care" explores the idea of second chances and the importance of forgiveness, both of others and of oneself
fernandoschiavi26 April 2024
In a flash-forward, Daniel is in a cell getting a cognitive test. In the present, Morgan talks to Sherry and Strand about a possible new threat. Daniel is tasked with keeping guns within the community inside a locked shack. Grace begins to have contractions. Morgan leaves to get medical supplies, and puts Daniel in charge. Daniel leads a meeting with Dakota to obtain information on the new threat, which is the group who attacked Tank Town. The meeting ends when there is an explosion that draws in walkers. Daniel goes to the shack and finds the guns are gone.

Daniel tells Charlie and Grace to hide and wait for Morgan to return. Daniel allows several walkers to enter the community to find out who has the weapons and believes it to be Strand, who saves Dwight by killing a walker with a pistol. Daniel locks up Strand, but Strand insists he's innocent. When Daniel is about to kill Strand, Morgan returns and kills the walkers. The group discovers that Daniel was the one who hid the weapons, and they imprison him. June, who has been interrogating Daniel, believes he is suffering from a psychological disorder. Strand invites him to live in Lawton, while Dakota shares intel from the late Virginia that the new threat is believed to be hiding underground.

In the tenth episode of "Fear the Walking Dead" Season 6, titled "Handle with Care," the series delves into the aftermath of the events at Tank Town and the impact they have on the characters. The episode focuses on June's struggle to come to terms with her actions and her efforts to find redemption. As she grapples with feelings of guilt and remorse, the episode explores themes of forgiveness, redemption, and the human capacity for change.

One of the most striking aspects of the episode is its focus on June's character development. As she wrestles with her past and tries to find a way to move forward, viewers are given a deeper insight into her motivations and inner struggles. This adds a layer of complexity to her character and makes her more relatable to the audience.

The episode also features some tense and emotional moments, particularly in the scenes between June and John. Their relationship is tested as they both try to come to terms with what has happened and find a way to move forward together. These scenes are some of the most powerful in the episode and are a testament to the strength of the writing and performances.

Thematically, "Handle with Care" explores the idea of second chances and the importance of forgiveness, both of others and of oneself. It also touches on the idea of letting go of the past and embracing the future, even in the face of seemingly insurmountable obstacles.

Good
MeteStark24 April 2021
Warning: Spoilers
I think this episode is good. It's weaker than the last 2 episodes but still great.

I hate what Daniel become, yes. But it's so normal in this situation. He lost his wife and daughter and he saw lot's of bad things. Of course his mental health will go down.

I gave this episode 9 because I AM TIRED OF MORGAN! Okay, i like Morgan but it's enough. I want to see Alicia more. And the second reason is Daniel. I said it's how he changes but i want to see badass Daniel like we saw in Season 3.

Anyway, it was a good episode. I liked it and i am so excited for the next episodes.

10/10 just because of the acting and the suspense. The scene between Daniel and strand had me on edge , something that was done brilliantly but also a scene that was very long overdue.

This episode was not handled with care...
melinagibsonma9 May 2021
These survivors are three years into the apocalypse and they still are making the silliest mistakes.

Putting their armory at the check in which is near the gate is a terrible and unsafe thing to do, making your weaponry known to all is even more ridiculous.

Not to mention - dumbing down Daniel's character and him becoming a shell of who he used to be.

Daniel's psychology
ninjaboyballer27 April 2021
Warning: Spoilers
I really liked this episode. I actually liked the narration Daniel gave and how this episode was mostly devoted to his character and his psychology. I really wanna see where his character arc goes, considering there continuing a character arc that started all the way back in S2. I'm happy that they're making Daniel way more important because he's probably one of the best remaining characters on the show. The other thing I'm interesting in is this underground community. I'm excited to see where this threat of the "The End is the Beginning" people goes. Overall solid episode with a great performance by Ruben Blades

Final rating: 8.5/10.

Ruben blades' acting was wonderful and intriguing, and I audibly "awwed" when he had his speech when he was leaving. This interesting aspect of his journey is one that I connect with, and am looking forward to continuing. Beautiful meaning behind it- great time watching.

Such a good episode from start to finish. Amazing development if characters and really really evolving the plot for this show. Season 6 has been so much better than seasons 6-11 of TWD.

S6.E10 - Danielcentric Episode [8/10]
panagiotis199310 October 2023
Warning: Spoilers
(S6. E10) My Reaction / Review for Fear The Walking Dead Season 6 Episode 10 ''Handle with Care'': Episode 9 was good and I gave it a rating of 9/10. Let's see if this one is better or worse. Where is Al? Also no Alicia in this episode? That sucks. There is a new threat? Who could that be? So Daniel was lying about losing his memory? Damn. Who stole the guns? What's going on? How did the walkers get inside, I thought this place was safe. Daniel is dumb. Victor was with them, he couldn't steal the weapons. So Daniel stole the guns? But why? Daniel is actually losing his memory this time? So Daniel is going back to Lawton, I hope that's for the best. Overall a good episode, my rating is 8/10.

Not only Daniel lost memories
drusekx1 May 2021
Warning: Spoilers
Everyone apparently forgot how to kill the dead. Or how to build something that can hold the dead. Or that you can kill the dead through fence with pointy objects they were holding.

It's also weird that the dead came from one side and not from all the other places. And last but not least, in a world when dead and alive want to kill you, you just don't give your weapons to be locked somewhere.

Nonsensical
mariasirs26 April 2021
Warning: Spoilers
Why are all the weapons being held right at the check-in? Why aren't they being kept somewhere in the MIDDLE of the dam? The fact they're upfront at the check in means that any guests that pass by to check in their weapons would realize the location of the guns???

How stupid are these characters???

Also Daniel was off this entire episode.. releasing a horde of walkers into the Dam knowing that there's children here and the fact that everyone's guns aren't with them.. like seriously?

I'm not even going to mention how they practically turned Daniel into an old man with memory issues.

So they gave Daniel dementia, Dakota's suddenly helping everyone with their hunt for this new group and no Alicia? Oh and a nurse diagnosed Daniel?

rudder less mess that has no audience left. No One Cares about this
Rob-O-Cop25 April 2021
This show doesn't know where it's going in anyway, so it's just pulling bizarre tangents out of nowhere.

Do they really think that dementia is what they should be spending their screen time on on a show about a zombie apocalypse ?

I mean, they could, and indeed have focused this episode and Daniel's character on it, but is it really a good plot point to move things forward and keep the show entertaining. Was it a good use of Daniel's character, his known history and character arch, a guy who tortured people in Mexico for a living, loved and lost his wife and daughter, and was a cold a focused 'get things done despite the costs' guy, and all the potentially interesting directions that could go, but, to have him develop mental problems,.... is that smart plot writing?

It seems like the show is treated like a collection of children's toys and each new writer can come in and make up a whole new behaviour for a character on a whim, ignore who they were and how they're shaped and just go off on a whole different and incongruous tangent with them. I'm surprised the actors don't say something. The number of loops Strand has been though that don't fit together at all, and Daniel. If anyone has watched the whole show, they'll be scratching their heads.

Their best actors are gone and going. This ship is underwater and everyone is drowning. John Dorie said it. "I don't want to be here any more", and Garret Dillahunt knew he had to get as far away from the show as possible.

I feel sorry for those left behind, well not the writers and the b grade filler characters they pull off the work experience queue, but the others trying their best to follow the directions of the directionless pilots of this aimless juggernaut.

FTWD is back to it's mediocre standard
mihmichael12 October 2021
Warning: Spoilers
After a few really good episodes, FTWD is back to it's well-known laughable scripts. A herd of walkers is coming straight to the gates but - they want to wait for Morgan to return? There are 30+ people inside (probably a lot more), give everyone a knife and a sharp stick and all the walkers will be cleared in less than one hour! Daniel is lost in space and time, why? A nurse is now main surgeon & psychiatrist? FTWD is gold, beats Frasier & Friends.

Slow Moving Introspective Like the Whole TWD World

Dull really. The writers don't know how to integrate the issues they want to explore into an interesting story. They don't have a story anymore, they have character development.

Alzheimer
sholsterovic11 May 2021
Warning: Spoilers
Beginning of an episode show us how the main characters (when they come for a meting) don't care for each other at all, hey they are friends for a long time, this is something that i couldn't digest. So this episode became a bit boring and predictable,i know that is Daniel and his Alzheimer doing things that should resemble to a story line plot which is so weak. We could see as we watching the show that certain dialogues could be better written,so what does that mean, it means that they are lazy bag writers and they need to step up asap. As per Daniel he need to se June couple times more before his Alzheimer, PTSD took his life, episode is a slow pace an for me is a stop on 5 stars.

just pure evil emotional manipulation
Ghostcrow_Opin26 April 2021
This show is really triggering.. I have and had people in my family both close and not so close with both far gone Dementia and Alzheimer's and I gotta say this show is triggering AF. People that don't have had to live with it and been "changed" by it because it's really hard on family members when somebody you knew was full of energy and stuff like that has become the opposite to what the person was when he or she was healthy.

The only thing I could think about when I realized the show was trying to go for something similar with Daniel mind it all just felt like a well thought out bottle episode but they thought they were smart and went full emotional manipulation and that is something I always hate when movies and Tv-shows do,

Let me be clear it is OK play on peoples emotions but it got to be connecting with the story or help the "plot" move forward.

In this case it was PURE emotional manipulation. Just to win over viewers so we should think it was a good episode.

It's like they draw you in with a series of like 3-4 solid episodes a season then just phone it in. It's hard to suspend disbelief when the story is so stupid.
