Could be good

I kinda liked the first episode, I had some good laughs, but my main issue was it was too forced. The dialogue and even the hugging was so inorganic. It kinda felt like all involved were new to comedy and they thought there was a time frame to recite their lines so they rushed through them with no sincerity, they didn't "own" their lines. I want to like it and will give it a chance.

It was kinda funnny. Nothing made me actually laugh out loud but it's fine. I'm sure something made someone laught. Excited for the next episode.

If this show passes as comedy it is only to compete with SNL's canned laughter

I get it. This is only the pilot episode so I will try and be objective. Not every scene is going to make us belly laugh. And of course, it may take several episodes for an eclectic cast of characters to click on all cylinders. After watching the first episode my first clue this series was going to bomb was when that obnoxious canned laughter started. Why don't the producers drop the canned laughter and replace it with a big honking sign at the bottom of the TV screen that says "PLEASE LAUGH NOW".

Then you have to include an Aussie and a gay black man to ensure you are woke of course. A sister and brother who don't get along? That is supposed to be funny? A widower who sleeps with a Golden Labrador that is supposed to also remind us to laugh? Heck even some of the one liners are corny such as "I haven't been kissed in five (5) years but I last had sex four (4) years ago?" Can you hear me laugh now?

I give it a 4 out of 10 IMDB rating to give these young actors at least a tiny chance to complete more than the announced four (4) episodes, but I won't hold my breath waiting for any more episodes to appear.

Sorry but I am just being honest. This is not a laughing matter.
