Last month, we confirmed to you that Saoirse Ronan (Hanna, The Lovely Bones) would star in the big-screen adaptation of Stephanie Meyer’s (Twilight) first adult novel, The Host. Andrew Niccol (Gattaca) would be writing and directing The Host with Steve Schwartz, Paula Mae Schwartz, and Nick Wechsler producing the project after they secured the screen rights to the book with their own money.
According to Deadline, Open Road Films, an “upstart distributor,” has closed a distribution deal for The Host. Check out the official press release below:
