A wonderful journey.

When the Japanese cherry trees are flowering it's a great moment for the Japanese people: the end of the winter and the beginning of the spring: they have many ways to celebrate this moment: visiting the parks, eating and drinking together, making a boat ride.

I enjoyed very much this documentary about Japan because of the nice encounters with very nice people: craftsmen and craftswomen who produce kimono, umbrella, farmers who grow wasabi, ryokan keeper who knows about fish cooking, chef speaking about the traditional cooking, the producer of food replica (sampuru), the vegetal art artist, the gardeners of zen garden and japanese gardens, the inhabitants of Ine (the house on stilts).

I enjoyed also the nice photographies of Tokyo, of great stone Buddha, the zen garden (Zuiho-in) and the composedc garden of Murin-An and Otani, the bamboo forest in Kyoto, the parks with the flowering cherry trees (sakura), the field of wasabi and all the temples seen in this documentary.
