Haddonfield A Halloween Fan Film: What were they thinking?
Platypuschow8 September 2018
Fan films are rarely good, they are usually filled with passion and little more.

What with the lack of budget, actual actors and usually any filmmaking experience they are generally doomed to fail from the outset.

Don't get me wrong I've seen a few good ones, but they are at an immediate disadvantage. What I don't understand is why a fan would want to make a movie that is quite frankly an insult to the source material.

Haddonfield isn't bad, it's truly awful.

Blatantly cheaply made the creators had no clue how to construct a movie or what cinematography is and that was one of the better aspects. Whoever did the sound work needs to leave the industry with their head hanging low, the sound quality is not only dreadful but seriously inconsistent! No excuse for that at all.

The writing? Cliched, unoriginal and having a Halloween film where Michael Myers feels like an after thought is a really strange choice. The cast? As usual mostly not what you would consider "Actors" in fact the only name I knew I didn't even see!

This fan film is a contender for the worst one I've seen, it's is a 40 minute abomination that should be buried in a hole and drowned in concrete.

For shame......

The Good:

Nope

The Bad:

Ropey Don't Fear The Reaper cover

Night of the Living Dead footage again, really?

Awful sound quality

Dreadful sound balancing

A general hatchet job all round

Things I Learnt From This Movie:

Some peoples idea of paying homage to their favourite film is taking the original, defacating all over it, cutting it into little pieces, removing 2/3 of the pieces and replacing them with hamster droppings
