- Oliver Queen: Hallmark didn't have any, uh, "Welcome back to Earth" cards, so...
- Clark Kent: Oliver. It's nice to see everyone has a key to this place. I spoke to Chloe. She said, if it wasn't for you, I wouldn't be here right now. Thanks.
- Oliver Queen: Actually, uh, if it wasn't for Chloe tweaking into a supercomputer, you wouldn't be here right now. Her eyes turned white, and she, uh, with one hand, mind you, pushed me into the next room. So, uh, what happened to her?
- Clark Kent: It's Brainiac. He infected her somehow.
- Oliver Queen: What are you doing about this?
- Clark Kent: Everything I can. I've tried to talk to her, but I can't control her life.
- Oliver Queen: *Her* life? It's not her life anymore, Clark. She's living yours. Chloe's knee-deep in these situations that - pardon the expression, but humans just don't understand. As her best friend... make her stop before she gets hurt.
- Kara: So, did your adventure with Lois end with you telling her your secret?
- Clark Kent: Not exactly. All I ever wanted was to keep Lois from my secret. But yesterday, that nearly got her killed.
- Kara: You want your cousin's two cents? Lois can handle it. She's tough... and strong. You wouldn't let her get so close if you didn't think so, too.
- Clark Kent: I was beginning to miss these family lectures.
- Kara: I'm leaving Smallville.
- Clark Kent: Kara, you just got back.
- Kara: When I was in that hellhole, I heard rumors that Kandor still exists. Kal-El, I think that a part of our civilization may have survived before the explosion, before the destruction of Krypton. There may be survivors there. If I can find that city, I can save our bloodline.
- Clark Kent: Then I'll go with you.
- Kara: Kal-El, there's a reason that you were sent to Earth and raised as a member of the Kent family. Your path is on Earth living amongst humans and inspiring mankind.
- Clark Kent: We can do all of this together.
- Kara: I can't. I don't fit in here. My journey's somewhere else.
- Clark Kent: [hugs Kara] I'll miss you.
- Kara: [shows her necklace with House of El symbol] See? You're always with me. Close to my heart.
- Lois Lane: I don't want to die here, Clark!
- Clark Kent: All we have to do is keep an eye out on each other, okay? We'll be fine.
- Lois Lane: We're not fine! We're standing on our graves! We're gonna die, us together. No more farmhouse, no more Daily Planet!
- Clark Kent: Listen to me! Listen to me. No one's gonna mess with Lois and Clark, right?
- Lois Lane: They better not.
- Tess Mercer: Who do you work for?
- Green Arrow: I'm self-employed. It's sort of an occupational safety hazard.
- Tess Mercer: Oh. Well then you know that getting blood out of leather can be a total bitch.
- Kara: What were you thinking bringing Lois here?
- Clark Kent: Lois was there when I touched the crystal. We need to find a portal back.
- Kara: I did. Zor-El built me an escape hatch.
- Clark Kent: If you know a way out, then why are you still here?
- Kara: I didn't want to make the same mistake you did. Zoners got out when you left. They're just waiting for me to open the portal again.
- Clark Kent: So you stayed here all this time, fending for your life to protect Earth?
- Kara: [Tosses him a knife] Your lifeline. You lose it, you die.
- Lois Lane: So, first Kara, then Clark and I. It's like the Kent farm's ground zero for alien abductions.
- Davis Bloome: Um, is this a bad time?
- Chloe Sullivan: It is just one of those days when I feel like my friends have left the planet.
- Kara: Open the portal. Get out before more prisoners come.
- Clark Kent: No, Kara. They'll kill you.
- Kara: [Injured] Kal-El, look at me. It was my destiny to find you and protect you, not the other way around. Go.
- Clark Kent: I'm not going anywhere.
- Faora: You don't recognize me, but you are the spitting image of your father.
- Davis Bloome: Okay. Lois, you gotta reason with me. What kind of drugs did you take? Pills, powder, paste? Don't tell me you didn't inject anything.
- Faora: You don't know who you are. Do you experience blackouts? Hours of your life mysteriously lost? Your body's still evolving.
- Davis Bloome: Okay, um... How do you know that?
- Faora: Before we were phantoms, Zod and I were unable to have children. So, we created you.
- Davis Bloome: You, uh, "created" me...?
- Faora: You arrived here as genetic matter, containing our planet's most powerful life-forms so that, in time, you would evolve to become Earth's ultimate destroyer.
- Davis Bloome: I drive an ambulance.
- Faora: The duty of a child is to continue the legacy his parents began. Our family is meant to take this planet as our own. And after seeing you with these humans, I realize that you're still too weak to fulfill your destiny.
- [Lois/Faora breaks off piece of metal from hospital bed and stabs Davis]
- Faora: Trust me, my son. That which kills you makes you stronger. I'll be back when you're ready.
- Oliver Queen: Phantom Zone, huh? Seriously, who names these things?
- Chloe Sullivan: Picture an alien Alcatraz, and if I don't bail Clark out soon, who knows that kind of havoc Lo-bot will leave in her wake.
- Oliver Queen: Yeah. But that still doesn't explain how you're hacking into that crystal, Chloe. It's not hooked up to anything. There's no computer here...
- Chloe Sullivan: Do I tell you how to shoot your arrows? I don't think so.
- Lois Lane: Look, I'm no astronomy major, but I thought there was only supposed to be one sun in the sky.
- Clark Kent: Come on. We got to keep moving.
- Lois Lane: Clark, I don't think you understand. We're not on Earth!
- Clark Kent: That's impossible, Lois.
- Lois Lane: How many spaceships does a girl need to stumble upon to convince you that there are aliens among us? Clark, we've been abducted!
- Clark Kent: Did you see Tess yesterday?
- Lois Lane: Beats me. All I remember is touching that rock, having some "Arabian Nights" acid trip, and waking up very confused.
- Clark Kent: Lois.
- Lois Lane: [handing him a stack of boxes] Handle with care, Smallville. I've had those albums since I was ten.
- Clark Kent: What could I possibly want with your Def Leppard anthology?
- Lois Lane: I'm taking you up on your offer. Just like old times. You, me, "Guitar Hero" weekends. I'm moving in.
- Clark Kent: Really?
- Lois Lane: Hmm.
- Clark Kent: Uh... you didn't like it here, remember? The rooster woke you up every morning.
- Lois Lane: Yeah, but at least the rooster only crows once. You try sharing walls with pre-wedding Chloe and Jimmy.
- Clark Kent: I didn't need to know that.
- Clark Kent: You think it's a good idea that we live and work together?
- Lois Lane: Carpooler's dream.
- [seeing his look]
- Lois Lane: Come on. What's the worst thing that could happen? I'd see you in your Snoopy boxers?
- Tess Mercer: Not exactly the bachelor pad I had imagined.
- Chloe Sullivan: Is Clark expecting you, or is this another one of your daily break-ins?
- Tess Mercer: What's with all the broken glass? Is everything okay?
- Chloe Sullivan: Everything except for the bird that flew into the window.
- Tess Mercer: A bird? All that brainpower and that's what you come up with.
- Chloe Sullivan: It was a large bird.
- Tess Mercer: Blind loyalty can be dangerous, Chloe.
- Chloe Sullivan: That means a lot coming from the protégé of Lex Luthor.
- Davis Bloome: I don't mean to violate your no-fly zone, but... my blackouts are getting worse.
- Chloe Sullivan: Are you okay?
- Davis Bloome: I thought if I could find my birth parents, they'd answer some questions, but I'm starting to feel like I just fell out of the sky.
- Chloe Sullivan: I highly doubt that. Here, let me see what you brought me.
- Davis Bloome: That is my life story. That's a list of all known schools and foster homes.
- Chloe Sullivan: [giving the file a once-over] Jones, Webber, Pearson, Vogel, McBridge, Moss. Wow. I mean, I know you leapfrogged homes as a kid, but your family tree is more like the Redwood Forest.
- Davis Bloome: The problem is I can't find anything on the first three years of my life.
- Chloe Sullivan: That is weird.
- Davis Bloome: Yeah. So, um... how about it, Chloe? Do you want to dust off your reporter's hat and help a guy out?
- Chloe Sullivan: What did you do with Lois?
- Faora: I needed her vessel. Not my first choice, but... surprisingly flexible.
- Tess Mercer: So not the night to mess with me.
- Green Arrow: No "Hello"? No "How are ya"?
- Tess Mercer: What do you know about the crystal?
- Green Arrow: Well, that depends. How good is your shot?
- Chloe Sullivan: Hey, Clark, just a heads-up. Lois has all of your abilities without any of your inhibitions.
- Clark Kent: Don't worry. I can handle Lois.
- Lois Lane: I just came from Tess. I got a raise.
- Clark Kent: Why would she give you a raise?
- Lois Lane: Because I'm me. Hello?
- Chloe Sullivan: You know, Oliver, for a guy with three cell phones, you sure are hard to get ahold of.
- Clark Kent: Lois, the best part about you living at the farm is I can keep an eye on you.
- Lois Lane: Yeah, about that... change of plans. Nothing against you. It's just this raise means I can afford a place, you know, without farm animals.
- Clark Kent: Does this have anything to do with the hallucination you had?
- Lois Lane: [scoffing] Yeah, right. It was a dream. It's called make-believe. What other reality stars you as my knight in shining armor?
- Clark Kent: I was your knight in shining armor?
- Lois Lane: Like I said, crazy.
- Clark Kent: You don't think I was in the Arctic based on these pictures?
- Tess Mercer: I think there's a lot more to Clark Kent that even Clark Kent doesn't want to admit.
- Clark Kent: A farmer turned journalist, not a very interesting story.
- Tess Mercer: [meaning Lex] I know that you're hiding something about his disappearance. And I can't wait for the day when you realize that you and I are on the same side. And that maybe it's not in your best interests to lie to your boss.
- Clark Kent: If you want to fire me, Ms. Mercer, go ahead. I have nothing more to tell you about this.
- Tess Mercer: Clark, I don't wanna fire you. I wanna trust you. And I wanna know why Lex didn't. In time, I'm sure the truth will reveal itself.
- Clark Kent: Lois, I know you're in there.
- Faora: Remind me, Kal-El... did Jor-El and Lara come looking for you? Of course not. They didn't love you like I love my son.
- Clark Kent: This is all my fault, Lois. I'm sorry.
- Faora: You have feelings for this creature I inhabit. Like father, like son.
- Oliver Queen: When it comes to Clark's... that, I, uh, I steer clear.
- Chloe Sullivan: I need you to steal a piece of equipment, Oliver. It powers this crystal. Now, I think that if I can gain access to the crystal's database, I may be able to reverse its effects.
- Oliver Queen: That's your plan, Chloe? You're gonna hack into alien technology? Come on, that's a bit ambitious, isn't it, even for you?
- Chloe Sullivan: There is no door number two. This is my only option.
- Oliver Queen: Well, look, even if that thing is responsible for their disappearance, I don't think Clark would want you messing with it, Chloe. That stuff is dangerous.
- Chloe Sullivan: I'm not messing with anything. I know what I'm doing.
- Oliver Queen: What are not telling me, huh?
- Chloe Sullivan: I don't have time to explain. Are you gonna steal the generator or not?
- Oliver Queen: All right, who does this fancy piece of equipment belong to?
- Chloe Sullivan: Tess Mercer.
- Oliver Queen: Mercy? Well, why didn't you just say so?
- Kara: Looks like someone's got cold feet. He's not even at the frozen tundra yet.
- Clark Kent: After what this crystal did to Lois and I, there's no way I can trust it to rebuild the Fortress.
