Until 3 weeks before production, the main character in September 12th was a male. The producers however decided at the last minute to switch the character to a female after auditioning Einat Tubi for a supporting role, and deciding that she'd make a strong lead.
The scenes in the desert were shot outside of Apple Valley, CA, in early March. It was freezing cold, but the actors had to make it appear that they were in desert heat.
The entire film was shot over a weekend.
The Humvees used in the film were the remaining Humvees NOT blown up during filming of 'Iron Man'.
Einat Tubi and James C. Burns never saw each other during production, although their characters spoke to one another.
