According to the DOJ funded 2006 Child Abduction Murder Study; in 76 percent of the missing children homicide cases studied, the child was dead within three hours of the abduction-and in 88.5 percent of the cases the child was dead within 24 hours. Less than 1 in 10,000 missing children cases results in a death. 99.8% of the children who go missing do come home.
When Morgan is holding up the article explaining what happened to Detective Lancaster's children, there is a typo on the page. The sentence should read "heard a loud crushing noise" but on the page it says "loud, crushing news."
When Danny asks if he can watch cartoons, Prentiss turns the TV on. The sound that is heard is that of a cathode ray tube television (a relay clicking and a transformer, namely), even though the TV on the wall appears to be a flat panel TV. Even if it is a CRT, the picture should not be visible as quickly as it is when the camera cuts to the screen (when it is first turned on, pictures on a CRT display will take at least fifteen seconds to appear).
