First Look: Middle Men

5 July 2009 12:23 PM, PDT | TheMovingPicture.net | See recent TheMovingPicture news »

On a recent episode of his newly launched internet talk show, comedian/actor Kevin Pollak interviewed Christopher Mallick, a man whose life story has since been made into the upcoming flick Middle Men. In the mid 90s Mallick was brought in to help two inexperienced business men who were about to change the porn industry and the internet forever. On his journey he wrestles with his morals and struggles not to drown in a sea of conmen, mobsters, drug addicts, and porn stars. In the interview Mallick, now a film producer, also briefly talks about the defunct Korean remake 10A-10B he was working on that has since become Columbus Circle. Middle Men stars Luke Wilson, Giovanni Ribisi, Gabriel Macht, Kevin Pollak, James Caan, Laura Ramsey, Jacinda Barrett, Robert Forster, Christopher McDonald, Terry Crews, Rade Serbedzija and Kelsey Grammer. It is still without a release date, but during the interview …

Gallo 'Circle's Selma Blair, Amy Smart, Jason Lee and Ribisi for Indie Thriller

1 July 2009 | ioncinema | See recent ioncinema news »

- Low budget filmmaker George Gallo has gathered some former players in Giovanni Ribisi (from the just completed Middle Men) and Selma Blair (My Mom's New Boyfriend) and added Amy Smart and Jason Lee to the fold in an indie thriller that was co-written with Kevin Pollak (the actor also has a role in the film - he wrote himself a concierge part). To be filmed in Los Angeles, Columbus Circle is actually a Manhattan apt. set project which focuses on a reclusive heiress (Blair) in an upscale Manhattan apartment building who is brought face-to-face with her fears when a detective (Ribisi) shows up to investigate a homicide next door and a new couple (Smart and Lee) moves in to that apartment. Oxymoron Entertainment's Christopher Mallick and Blue Star Entertainment's William Sherak and Jason Shuman produce. Gallo has failed to make a spark for himself in the previous projects …

30 June 2009 10:23 PM, PDT | TheMovingPicture.net | See recent TheMovingPicture news »

Selma Blair, Amy Smart, Jason Lee, Giovanni Ribisi and Kevin Pollak are set to star in Columbus Circle, an indie thriller that George Gallo is directing from a script he co-wrote with Pollack. Principal photography is slated to start this month in Los Angeles. The film centers on a reclusive heiress (Blair) in an upscale Manhattan apartment building who is brought face-to-face with her fears when a detective (Ribisi) shows up to investigate a homicide next door and a new couple (Smart and Lee) moves in to that apartment. Pollak plays the building's concierge and one of the heiress' few friends. On a recent episode of his internet talk show, Pollak revealed that the idea for the film came on a plane ride back from the Cannes Film Festival after producer Christopher Mallick had lost the rights to a remake of a Korean film. Two loft sets were already built and ready to go, …

Int: George Gallo

6 May 2009 3:54 AM, PDT | JoBlo.com | See recent JoBlo news »

One of the main motivations to visit the set of Middle Men, for me, was the chance to chat with writer/director George Gallo. I am a huge fan of Midnight Run. The script he wrote provided some of the best material Robert De Niro has had to work with in the past twenty-five years. When I arrived at the Las Vegas Country Club they were setting up for a busy day, that would include two locations and several set ups and the production had allotted for just this one day to get it all. So I was …

Exclusive Interview with Idiocracy’s President Camacho! -- Terry Crews talks future projects and how many people call him President at the Watchmen premiere

3 March 2009 | Collider.com | See recent Collider.com news »

Last night I had the good fortune of running into President Camacho at the “Watchmen” premiere. As most of you know, while his Presidency started off as bit slow, thanks to Joe Bauers guidance, he’s popularity is at an all time high. And thanks to people not knowing how to vote, I don’t see his Presidency ending anytime in the near future. To those who don’t understand what I just wrote…go and rent Mike Judge’s “Idiocracy” as you’re missing out on a great thing. But being serious for a second, I did ask Terry Crews how many people still call him President and what he has coming up. Take a look. Int: Jesse Jane!

12 February 2009 2:10 AM, PST | JoBlo.com | See recent JoBlo news »

Middle Men is a story of the two guys that created the code to bill online porn. Some may say a hero's story. After all, due to their work anybody with an Internet connection and an urge can satisfy, um. well themselves, from the safety and seclusion of their own home. On a chilly Monday in December, JoBlo.com was invited to visit the set and in the morning I caught up with the production at the Las Vegas Country Club and watched stars Luke Wilson, Gabriel Macht and James Caan at work. …
