With a focus on Rupert and his characters, we have assembled all the information you need (you Do need to know what Ron is eating on his first train ride to Hogwarts, don’t you?). Aside from his films, you can also find lots of (new!) information on Rupert’s TV and radio work. Instead of simply picking up facts from well-known movie websites, we have done research, re-read our freshly-launched Press Archives, browsed this website and shook up our Pensieves. And of course we watched, re-watched, rewinded, stopped and watched-in-slow-motion all the films (or, as in the case of Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince and Cherrybomb, »

10 Most Underrated Young Actresses

22 October 2009 1:48 AM, PDT | The Movie Fanatic | See recent The Movie Fanatic news »

Can the media alter the public's perception of an actor? I believe so - that's why we have the likes of Megan Fox hugging the headlines and getting the covers of men's magazines, while a lot of more talented young actresses could not even manage to get featured and have interviews. If you think about it, what has she done in the movies to deserve so much publicity and attention? - - -

- - - Some may argue, 'hey, don't blame her, she's just good at playing the Hollywood game, and she got a shrewd agent managing her career!'. That maybe so and yes, I agree when others say 'she'll not last another year - others will soon take over'. There are those who may say 'Agents and talent managers always take care of their wards - that's why stars have a public image and a private one'. »

Rupert Grint Among tMF’s Most Underrated Young Actors!

13 October 2009 4:45 AM, PDT | Rupert-Grint.us/ | See recent Rupert Grint - Ice Cream Man news »

Our friends with the Movie-Fanatic website have always been very fond of Rupert Grint and supportive of his career, thus it is no surprise to see Rupert featured on their list of Ten Most Underrated Young Actors. Here's what Jed Medina with tMF had to say: "Playing one of the main characters in the Harry Potter series gave Rupert Grint the kind of world-wide recognition reserved to a chosen few. He is definitely not your usual boy-next-door young star who prefers to play traditional roles given to teens in Hollywood. [...] His goal to polish his craft by exploring other characters beside Ron Weasley appears to be making headways. He made Driving Lessons in 2006 and this year - two feature films Cherrybomb and Wild Target - will further allow the young actor to prove he has what it takes to suceed in the movie business." 10 Most Underrated Young Actors

12 October 2009 7:54 PM, PDT | The Movie Fanatic | See recent The Movie Fanatic news »

Cinema is filled with multi-talented young actors who bring to life all types of characters. Sometimes, a role is given to the wrong guy - just because he has the looks (pin-up pretty, looks awesome wearing trunks) and the connection (a powerful talent agent at his side). But when the role is given to the right guy - moviegoers get to witness something unique, memorable and powerful, even magical. Anyway, even the 'right guy' needs an agent, of course...

- - -

- - - Underrated versus Overrated: If you've watched Jumper, then you'll notice the difference between Jamie Bell and Hayden Christensen - Bell has undeniable screen presence, I can't say the same with Hayden. It could have been different if Tom Sturridge was retained to play Hayden's part. Anyway, who am I to argue? Christensen has more box office appeal than the relatively unknown Sturridge, but acting-wise?
