It is powered by a Raven solid propellant motor made by R.A.E. Westcott. The firings are carried out by the Australian Department of Supply at the Woomera Rocket Range. Skylark is being used in a joint high altitude research programme by the Royal Society and the Royal Aircraft Establishment.''
