A possible haven

Warning: Spoilers
As we come to the penultimate episode the group of survivors is still on the run from Hild's people; when they find a small village they believe they have found a sanctuary. The village has too inhabitants already, a man and his grown up daughter; everybody else has left or died. The man is very keen for them to stay, especially the obviously pregnant Hild and the other women. Most of the group are happy to stop as the village has plenty of food and proper beds for them to sleep in. Harriet isn't convinced though as she is sure the others group will turn up looking for Hild. It isn't just the others who are a danger to the group; the two villagers are a little sinister and one of the group believes he has earned the right to have his way with Roe whether she wants to or not.

With only one episode left I'm looking forward to finally seeing what is left of ARC and learning just who Hild's people might be; we don't learn about either in this episode but we do learn that the survivors were frozen a lot longer than they and we had been led to believe. Guest star Kenneth Colley was good in his role as the villager and Zoe Telford was convincing as Roe when she fought off the unwanted attentions of one of her fellow travellers. The atmosphere of the village was well created managing to give a sense of ordinariness as well as seeming as if something wasn't quite right.

Another very good, intriguing episode.

The weary travellers press on, and reach a Village that appears deserted, surrounded by warnings of plague and death.

It's becoming more and more intriguing, I am finding it hard to believe that they were only frozen for fourteen years, it feels like so much longer somehow. This helps to answer many of the questions.

It's actually getting better as it's progressing, the intrigue moves up another notch.

I did like the visuals of this episode, the little Village of Mareby looks suitably creepy, it's well designed.

Nicely acted, it's ways good to see Deborah Findlay in a drama, shame she wasn't in it for longer.

One thing I am struggling to comprehend, the van, how on Earth is it still running? That thing should have run out of fuel in about episode two.

It's very enjoyable, 8/10.
