No more Priority Homicide?
lastliberal9 September 2008
In the penultimate episode of this season, we see Chief Pope announcing that Priority Homicide will be dismantled after a critical news report that says the department favors white victims. Brenda agonizes over the decision, but depend upon her to find a way to turn the decision to her advantage.

In the meantime, she is trying to find out who killed two Mexican cops and find a suspect that is being hidden in a church. Her intense efforts expose those in the pay of the Mexican drug cartel and she exercises a bit of justice that may rub some the wrong way.

There is only one episode left and we will have to suffer another drought without Brenda.

Catholic Sacrament Misrepresented
padukaspeedracer10 September 2008
Warning: Spoilers
I am a big fan of The Closer but was greatly upset at the opening of the Tijuana Brass episode. The episode begins with a Catholic priest anointing two dead men. This Sacrament is not performed on those who have already died. This sort of misrepresentation can cause great confusion for people. There are those who do not regularly practice their faith that call a priest when their relative has passed away and do not understand why they cannot be anointed. That is a very stressful time for them to have to realize that the priest cannot do as they are asking him to. The researchers of the show should be more careful. Especially when dealing with a holy Sacrament of the Catholic faith.
