- After a routine stop at an inn, both Richard and Kahlan start having alternating moments of uncharacteristic behavior. Can they find out the cause before Zeddicus returns or Darken Rahl's minions catch them?
- A pair of thieves impersonate Richard and Kahlan, with the aid of a magic mirror. Some vary different scenes ensue. Jason Hoyte is the chief thief Gwildor. Jacque Drew the fake confessor Clayre. Steve Rodgers the fake Seeker Frytss. Barmaid Bianca (Claire Chitham) pretends to be a friend to the seeker but is the partner of Gwildor.
The episode starts with the fake Richard seducing the wife of a Mayor of Ixwood (Debbie Newby) Ella . They then rob the village, pretending to be guarding their treasure. In the morning the village discovers the treasure is missing together with the fake seeker and confessor.
When the real seeker shows up, the gang decide to rob them. The pretend Kahlan seduces Richard in a lake while the pretend Richard steals the sword of truth. Their accomplice Gwildor double crosses them, pretending to be a soldier and arrests the fake pair, locking them up and selling the sword.
Richard and Kahlan then run into Ixwood where they escape arrest with the aid of the Mayoress. The fakes escape by seducing the guard. Zedd follows some dharans to find the fake pair, and sees through them. He takes them to Bianca, takes the mirror. Gets Biance to unmask Gwildor, they all get taken towards Rahl, where they meet a tied up Zedd. It turns out Zedd has taken the identity of Bianca, and they escape. Zedd unmasks all of them, and lets the fakes escape.
The episode ends with Gwildor and Biance being led off the Rahl, Biance still looks like Zedd.
