The DVD release is titled "Season 1" not "The Complete Series", even though the show was already canceled.

Goofs:

Plot holes: In episode 112 ("Knight Rider: Knight to King's Pawn (#1.12)" (2009)), it's revealed that K.I.T.T. was built to create a more compliant personality to eventually modify K.A.R.R.'s personality. However, in episode 106 ("Knight Rider: Knight of the Living Dead (#1.6)" (2008)), it's explained that K.I.T.T.'s personality is part of his neural net, and cannot be downloaded or removed. This makes K.I.T.T.'s very creation pointless, since the qualities needed to modify K.A.R.R. cannot be transplanted.

I can't think of a logical reason for this to exist.

What is NBC doing? Thats what we should all be asking ourselves. The problem with K.R. is that its terrible. It was terrible in the 1980s and its terrible again. I gave this thing a fair chance, I actually watched three episodes before I made up my mind that, outside of Reality Programming, this is TV at its worst. Its basically just a gag. Its just so campy and cheesy that you really wonder if its an actual serious show or its just an extended SNL skit, sometimes its hard to tell. THE only good thing about the show is occasional eye candy, once in a while you'll get a hot chick on there, but thats it. There really isn't much that I can say other the fact that this show is unbelievably horrible. Every facet of this show is bad, from the writing, to the acting to the actual camera work itself, its just that bad. Aside from the Bionic Woman remake, this is probably one of the worst television series that I've ever seen. If NBC had any brains in their executive offices, they would systematically collect, re-procure and destroy any evidence that this abomination ever existed on the face of this planet.
