My views about the episode:
- While the show is trying to make the Julien-Zoya-Obi story the main plot, it is definitely the weakest and fizzled out in the first episode itself, and is now just dragging. Also, the 3 might have the weakest acting in the whole ensemble.
- Max's storyline has to be the most interesting. He is a character who is truly going through some real issue with his family and his acting helps showcase those emotions.
- Julien and her dad's plot was just a waste and so anti-climatic. It really wasn't needed.
- Audrey and Aki have a weird yet understandable dynamic. I believe it'll be fun to explore their stories separately though. And Audrey, both acting and plot-wise, would make a better lead.
- Every time Luna and Monet are on screen, I am excited. While we haven't even dipped a pinky into their personal story lines yet, they are the pot stirrers of the show. They are what I expect gossip girl characters to be like. Luna's tips to Zoya might have been my favorite part of the whole episode.
- I have nothing to mention about the teachers, the concept of them being GG is great, but OMG, I haven't seen a worse execution. Every time they are on screen, it's painful.
All in all, this episode was definitely a step up from the previous two, but we need much more exploration. And I am hoping the fashion game also gets stronger over time, it's quite basic till now. Definitely missing the 'pizzazz'.
