The seasons before Kono and Chin left were well written and had engaging storylines. Steve's military episodes, Woo Fat, Danny's possible reunion with his ex, Lou's family, Chin and Sarah, and Kono and Adam's relationship were all highlights for me. The last few seasons hadn't really had strong storylines and the new characters never quite grew on me, however, H-50 still remained part of my Friday night routine. This ending was completely rushed. It didn't feel like writers and producers knew the show was ending and had to to throw together something at the last minute. Why bother adding additional characters so close to the end. Just wrap up the storylines you already have going decently. Why bother with Lincoln or the new female, I can't even remember her name, so close to a finale? They should have written a story that included the reoccurring characters that we have come to love over the years and provided them closure (food truck cousins, the teen Steve mentored that's been missing a few seasons, that goofy cop and the police chief). They also left several storylines unfinished that they could have made an ongoing storyline for the season (Steve's exposure to radioactivity) instead of using a bunch of filler episodes that didn't really contribute anything to an ongoing storyline. Nothing memorable occurred in the finale. Horrible ending to conclude a once strong show with a mediocre last couple seasons.
