It is common for new shows to have a weak pilot, but Cruel Summer was nothing of the sort. This premiere episode was immersive and engaging, and kept me on the edge of my seat the entire team. It was evident that the cast and crew worked hard on making this series begin with a bang, and it paid off. I'm excited to see this story unfold over the coming weeks.

[9.2] The feeling since the early dawn of time

An amazing pilot of a series with superb acting (I mean it, especially by Chiara Aurelia who nails it beyond words), explosive atmosphere, thrilling storyline with dizzying flashbacks and flash forwards and at moments a haunting score well chilling your bones.
It is still very mysterious and the flowing frame of the show (still) totally unclear. From this first episode, I can safely tell that it would be far from boring and riveting and darkly engaging as girls' corrosive jealousy.

Chiara Aurelia Is Great

I watched this because I saw Ms. Aurelia in Big Sky and Gerald's Game and I thought her performance in Tell Me Your Secrets was superb.
She is excellent in Cruel Summer as well.
I wasn't sure I would like this but I very much do.
