Grace asks him if he's heard of an old Supe, Liberty. Billy hasn't, and Grace asks how the Boys are holding up. Barrett interjects that Homelander loves the script, and Stormfront asks where he is. Barrett gets a text and abruptly excuses herself.
Barrett joins Edgar and his entourage as they pass, and she asks if it's true. Edgar says that it's in hand and that they're investigating, and tells her that Homelander will know when he wants him to know. He tells her to keep the rest of the Seven in line and goes into his office.
On the news, reports are going out about Compound V and how Vought used it to "create" Supes. Starlight is in her apartment, watching and chuckling. A-Train speeds in and asks what she did, and she reminds him that if she goes down, A-Train goes down with her. The prisoner drinks it, and Frenchie says that he just wants to help Kimiko. Kenji talks about the night their parents were murdered, and Kimiko hasn't talked since. It was just the two of them for years, and they came up with their own sign language so they could talk. Frenchie asks Kenji to teach him the sign, and Kenji refuses.
Frenchie tells Kenji that Kimiko is special, and she loves Kenji. He leaves, putting the can of energy drink and the Dorito bag on a nearby shelf first. Kenji has freed one finger from the tape and telekinetically pulls the can over, crumples it, and uses the edge to cut through the duct tape on his hands.

Maeve claims that she feels the same way, and Homelander takes her hand and talks about life being crazy.
Homelander asks who Elena is, and Maeve claims that Elena is just a friend and was venting. She tells him about the news release on Compound V.

A-Train looks at Starlight, then says that none of them knew about Compound V. Edgar insists that they have to capture the "super villain". A-Train and Maeve object, but Homelander says that the Seven have to pull together. He says that they're there as a family, no matter who made them, and that the Seven are his real family. Homelander tells the others that Vought considers them product, and they're not Vought. He says that the world still needs superheroes, and that's what the Seven is so they should take Kenji down.
As the Seven leaves, Stormfront says that she didn't see Homelander going against Vought. He tells her that she might not know him that well, and Stormfront agrees.
As the Boys approach the CIA safehouse, the boat shakes as something crashes into it from below. Sharks approach the boat, and Billy grabs a semi-automatic and opens fire on them. The engines lose power, and Billy goes below to find the boat is flooding. He has everyone get into the skiff and they head for a storm drain on the shore.
A sperm whale jumps out of the water ahead of them, Deep on its back. It lands on shore ahead of the skiff, and Billy speeds up the skiff and plows through the whale. Giving up, Billy tells the others that they should go. Milk doesn't want to leave Hughie, and Billy tells him that Hughie's staying. Milk goes into the whale and finds Hughie, sits down next to him, and says that if Hughie isn't going, neither is he. Hughie realizes that he has no choice but to go, and leaves. Milk goes with him/
In the drainage pipe, Billy leads the Boys through the darkness. Milk privately warns Billy that Hughie is falling apart and so are the rest of them. He warns that they're at their breaking point and Billy keeps pushing them. Billy says that they just need to keep it together a little longer, and once they hand Kenji over then he and Milk get their families back. Milk warns that Billy needs Hughie more than the rest of them, because he tells Billy when he's gone too far. Billy doesn't care, and says that if Hughie doesn't want a part of him, he isn't concerned.
The other members of the Seven join Deep as he mourns over the whale's body. Deep tells Homelander that he got some intel and was just trying to help out, and the Boys killed the whale, Lucy. When Deep says that the Boys went off in the storm drains, Starlight asks who brought him in to distract Homelander. Deep apologizes for what he did to her and says that he's going to renew his "light". Stormfront realizes that he joined the Church of the Collective since he's reciting their mantra, and says that he's an idiot.
Starlight angrily tells Deep that there's no way he's coming back to the Seven. Homelander tells them to stop fighting, and Stormfront tells Starlight that first they have to get Kenji. The leader tells the Seven that they're going into the tunnels but Deep is staying back. He points out that Deep's gills are showing and he should cover them up because it's disgusting.
A-Train speeds through the drains looking for the Boys. He stops when he has more chest pains, Homelander finds him and asks if he's okay, and A-Train insists that he's fine once he gets some rehab.
Hughie sees someone behind them and hides. It's Starlight, and he steps out to confront her. He figures he got her message, and Starlight blasts him back.
Homelander hears Hughie moaning and joins them. He recognizes Hughie from before, and doesn't want to hear Starlight's excuses. Homelander tells Starlight to kill Hughie, and she wonders if they should take him to the police. Billy and the others listen from the shadows, as Homelander admits they should take Hughie to the police but tells Starlight again to kill him. He says that it's easy and holds up her hands to do it.
When Starlight hesitates, Homelander tells her to do it or he'll kill them both. Hughie nods to Starlight, who lights up. Before she can kill Hughie, Billy calls to Homelander. A smiling Homelander says that he had breakfast with Becca that morning, and Billy has Kimiko release Kenji. Kenji telekinetically smashes a car down through the roof, smashing the ceiling down on Homelander. He then runs out the whole in the ceiling, and Kimiko goes after him.
Billy tells Hughie to come with them, offering his hand. Surprised, Hughie takes Billy's hand.

Edgar is there and gives a press statement, saying that he had no knowledge of Compound V. He puts the blame on a small disaffected group of scientists within Vought, led by Stillwell. Edgar offers condolences to all the families affected by the fight.
The Boys are the safehouse watching as Edgar says that America needs its heroes. Billy is off in a neighboring room, and puts the placemat with the house description in a cigar box. He joins the others, while Edgar thanks Stormfront for stopping Kenji. Hughie and Billy look at each other, and Hughie smiles briefly at Billy.
Stormfront steps up to the podium at the press briefing and leads a round of applause for the residents. Homelander glares at her, and Stormfront looks back at him, smiling. Kimiko glares at the Supe's image on the TV screen.
