This version of the show featured the winning contestant playing in the winners circle going for $10,000 in their first win and for $25,000 if they managed to also win the 2nd game just like the CBS daytime version The $25,000 Pyramid (1982). The new wrinkle on this syndicated version is, if you're one of the 3 players who gets to the top of the pyramid in the least amount of time, you'll return on a future show to try to for $100,000. The tournament will keep going until someone wins the $100,000.
1987 Box Office games released a home computer game of the show for the Commodore 64, DOS and Apple II computers at the time.
The set is almost the same as the CBS daytime version, The $25,000 Pyramid (1982) with the two differences: the $100,000 sign above the winner circle pyramid and a "The $100,000 Pyramid" logo on the Dick Clark's host podium.
