It's a sort of LA HAINE, but made for TV. Realistic, brutal, fierce picture of life in the french suburbs. Depressed cops, dealers, petty thugs cross all over this tale. Acting is over the top and the directing wonderful. The editing is nicely built too. It's really breathtaking all over the episodes. You're literally stuck to it. A really dark story which plunges the audience in the deep side of an aspect of the society you don't watch on the TV news. That's the first time, as far as I know, that french productions companies make so interesting point of view about the suburbs jungle. No clichés or predictable topics made for jerks or under fifties house wives.
Francis Renaud gives here a powerful performance. Perhaps his best ever. But he's young.
