- TriviaChristopher Lloyd expressed interest in appearing on the show, and he was considered for the role of Jack Briggs, played by Patrick Duffy. However, when the Pearl Harbor-centric episode "The Arizona" was planned for later in the season, executive producer Frank Cardea insisted on waiting for the role of Joe Smith in that episode to be played by Lloyd.
- GoofsCommander May indicates to Gibbs that Lieutenant Weeks, who had just disappeared on a flying mission, was currently prescribed and taking Oxycodone for pain from injuries suffered during a hard landing. No military aircrew would EVER be authorized to fly while taking any pain medications stronger than an aspirin, let alone an opiate like Oxycodone. The aircrew would have to be placed on duties not involving flying and closely monitored by a flight surgeon while on such a medication, and would not be allowed to return to flying status without having a blood or urine test to ensure that there is no trace of the drug in the aircrew member's system.
- Quotes
Timothy McGee: Did you do the non-scalpel method or with the scalpel?
Leon Vance: Both.
Timothy McGee: Why did you do it twice?
Leon Vance: My boys went down swinging.
Timothy McGee: Oh my, wow, how did you find out it didn't work the first time?
Leon Vance: When Jackie got pregnant with our son.
Timothy McGee: Jared was an oops?
Leon Vance: Yep, best mistake we ever made.

Others have pointed out the obvious Geography errors (regarding the North Carolina Beach) - which I even as a Brit spotted: the shadows showed the Sun was north, if it was filmed in North Carolina. Clearly, it had to have been filmed on the West Coast of the USA.
Also, I am afraid that there were some holes in the plot, mentioned in the Goofs section of the User reviews.
Still, it was a bit more exciting than the last two episodes - it is entertainment after all.
But, i cannot lose the feeling that the producers and writers have lost their way in this series.
