Coca-Cola is on a mission to further spread its ethos of ‘Real Magic’ and human connection this holiday season, with a new short film anthology: The Santa Stories.
The global beverage brand has tapped ‘Transformers: Rise of the Beasts director and screenwriter Steven Caple Jr. and The Mandalorian director Bryce Dallas Howard, to bring epic cinematic vision to two new short films.
Developed and produced in collaboration with Wpp Open X led by Vml, Imagine Entertainment and Prettybird, The Santa Stories will be released on Prime Video via Prime Video Direct, Amazon Freevee and Coca-Cola’s YouTube channels on 8 December 2023.
Each film is a reminder of the Santa Claus in all of us and reimagines the representation of Santa in a different way:
The Note (directed by Bryce Dallas Howard) stars Irish actor Colm Meaney as the lead protagonist, “The No Man”, whose festive goodwill is restored by a mystery message in a bottle.

The cult of "The Office" has only grown stronger since it debuted in 2005. It's hard to picture these days, but "The Office" was one of those shows that took a minute to find its audience, but when it did it found a very vocal, very dedicated fanbase. There are a dozen questions people still have about the show. You know, things like "What is Kevin's chili recipe?" and "Is that really what she said?" But at the top of the burning questions list is something very romantic and very secretive.

The year 2020 already started on a pretty high note for Kelvin Harrison Jr., with an Independent Spirit Award nod and a BAFTA Ee Rising Star award nomination for his breakthrough performances in “Luce” and “Waves.” And with turns in “The Photograph” and now “The High Note,” the young actor’s star is primed to rise even higher.
“I’d always say, after those movies ‘Luce’ and ‘Waves,’ that I really needed some therapy and a rom-com and that’s exactly what I got,” Harrison jokes, speaking to Variety over the phone.
But it’s taken a while for the 25-year-old star to get comfortable with this success — in fact, Harrison has used his time during quarantine to unpack his feelings about his newfound fame, re-reading journal entries from his early days in the business for some introspection.

Jean-Paul Gaster still remembers the moment he realized the first heavy-metal band were playing jazz.
Growing up near Washington, D.C., the drummer — who for nearly 30 years has brought a loose-limbed swagger to the rhythms of esteemed hard-rock band Clutch — would sit with his father and watch live concerts on public television. Performances by big-band jazz greats Buddy Rich and Gene Krupa made a particularly strong impression on him.
