Sex & Nudity

  • As the season progresses, there are increasing references to issues such as sexuality, sexual abuse, and sexting.
  • The cheerleaders wear revealing, skin-tight sportswear and swimsuits in a non-sexual context.

Violence & Gore

  • Cheerleaders are injured multiple times throughout the season. The injuries are not shown, but we see the cheerleaders falling and then lying in pain, screaming, and crying.

Profanity

  • Use of moderate language.
  • In the 1st 5 minutes of episode 1 there were a couple of F bombs and then the song that played during a fight scene used pretty much only swear words to create the lyrics.

Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking

  • A cheerleader vapes throughout the season.
  • Some indirect drug references when some cheerleaders talk about their risky behavior.

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • The cheerleaders talk about their lives, and their stories involve trauma, abuse, abandonment, crime, depression, and suicide. The stories can be very upsetting.
  • Despite the lack of graphic detail, watching the cheerleaders get injured can be very upsetting.
