Since the beliefs that parents want to instill in their children can vary greatly, we ask that instead of adding your personal opinions about what is right or wrong in a film, that you instead use this feature to help parents make informed viewing decisions by describing the facts of relevant scenes in the title for each one of the different categories: Sex and Nudity, Violence and Gore, Profanity, Alcohol/Drugs/Smoking, and Frightening/Intense Scenes.

Sex & Nudity

You can see for a second where Eli's genitals *used* to be. There is just a small cut.

Violence & Gore

A man gags another man with chloroform, hangs him upside-down from a tree and slits his throat, with lots of blood spilling on the ground. He starts collecting it in a bucket but is interrupted by a dog and its lost owners and flees.

Oskar stabs a tree twice with a hunting knife, pretending to be tough.

The bullies nick a boy across the face with a stick and we see the bloody scratch.

A vampire attacks a man and wrestles with him in the snow, she takes a bite out of his neck and snaps it, killing him. We see blood on her face, and later, she dumps the corpse into a pond.

A man pours acid on his face and we see graphic burn marks with exposed bone and muscle. In the hospital, he offers himself to the vampire, she bites and drinks from his neck and he falls dead from his window, hitting an awning on the way down.

A boy slits his palm and tries to make a blood-brother pact with the vampire, who reacts adversely and starts animalistically slurping the puddle of blood that he made on the floor. She then tells him to leave, and he does.

A boy strikes another boy across the face with a large stick and grazes his ear, we see blood as a teacher rushes over to help him.

The corpse of the vampire's first victim is seen being cut out of the icy pond and hauled onto shore.

The vampire attacks a woman and bites her neck, but is kicked off by another man before she could kill her, we see blood on her face.

The female victim becomes a vampire; in one scene, cats start attacking her and she falls down a flight of stairs. Finally, in the hospital, she ignites into a ball of fire after she asks the doctor to open the window blinds.

The vampire kills a man who tries to assassinate her, we hear scuffling behind a closed door and see his bloody hand grab at the frame before he dies.

A boy is swimming in a pool and is threatened by a bully with a knife, he holds the boy's head underneath the water in an attempt to drown him. Underwater, we see one bully being dragged across the pool from the knees-down and then his severed head falls in the water as he's pulled out. We then hear bones snapping as the bully's hand holding the boy's head; now severed and bloody falls into the pool, letting the boy go.

The vampire pulls the boy out of the water and from a long shot, we see the corpses of three of the bullies around the pool, all lying in pools of blood.

Profanity

5 f words. However, this might vary depending on the translation and the subtitles.

Some characters smoke and drink alcohol during scenes. It's all in a casual manner.

The scenes of violence are reasonably gory, especially when seeing a man whose face has been burnt by acid. There is much suspense throughout.
