It came from outer space

This is one of the featurettes on the 2-Disc Special Edition DVD of Spider-Man 3. It consists of interviews with cast and crew, behind the scenes footage, artwork, comics and brief, well-used clips of the movie. They cover Venom, and do so quite efficiently. In fifteen and a half minutes, it deals with everything there is to the presentation of the character in the flick(I won't go into what should have been different in SM3, because I could go on for a long time, even just on this one subject... and this production of course doesn't go into it, as is the norm for stuff like this, no reason to fault this particular one for that tendency), from the black goo, the suit, Brock, the movement patterns of it, how to make it appear threatening without giving it a "skeleton", etc. Everybody in this genuinely has something to say, and this is highly informative throughout. It's well-paced, there isn't a boring second to be found. The editing is also great. Everything is explained well, most viewers should be able to understand it all. I recommend this to anyone who wants to know about it. It may be best to not watch until you've seen the film. 7/10
