Nickelodeon is having a busy October, handing out pilot orders to four live-action projects and picking up additional episodes of its comedy series "Just Jordan".
The projects receiving pilot pickups are the action-comedy "The Troop", the comedies "The Norton Avenue All-Stars" and "True Fashion" and the music-centric comedy "One 4 All".
"Troop", described as "Ghostbusters" meets "Buffy the Vampire Slayer", revolves around kids who protect the world from supernatural creatures. The project, from the Tom Lynch Co. (Nickelodeon's "Romeo!"), is created and exec produced by writer-director Greg Coolidge and writers Chris Morgan and Max Burnett. Burnett, Morgan and Coolidge are repped by ICM, H2F Entertainment and attorney Jeff Frankel.
"All-Stars" is a comedy about a group of neighborhood best friends that's described as "The Little Rascals" meets puberty. It's from creator/exec producer Boyd Hale.
"True Fashion", described as "Project Runway" meets "Big", is from creator/exec producer Andy Gordon.
"One 4 All", a comedy about a boy band, is from creator Scott Fellows.
Marjorie Cohn, executive vp development and original programming at Nickelodeon, said it's possible that all four -- a mix of single- and multicamera projects -- could get series orders.
