I agree that the actions of some of the characters in many ways were unrealistic and hard to swallow. I thought Jamie, the lead suspect character played by Matt Bomer was very well done. I liked that this season focused on the vulnerable aspects of a sociopath and showed a side we rarely see on TV or in movies. I think he did an incredible job as an actor making me sympathize with him on occasion (especially at the end). I also liked the Jessica Hecht character, Sonya. Overall the acting is good. Bill Pullman's Det. Harry Ambrose is dark and troubled, and he's in constant pain with his sciatica, which may be why he takes such stupid risks. He seems to have had a very bad early relationship with his late father which leads me to the box he received with his belongings. Why did the writers not delve into this more to give us a little knowledge of Ambrose's past. I think S3 should have had a little less focus on the criminal and more on Ambrose.
