Around minute 12 the narrator details the responsibilities of the crew chief. They verbally introduce Ken Lemmons as a corporal but he is clearly wearing master sergeant stripes.
They claim the US could do daylight bombing because of the Norden Bomb sight. The sight was imprecise in real use, and the company was brought up on charges of fraud. However, at the time the events take place the Army Air Force believed that the sight was accurate and chose its daylight aerial bombing strategy based on the notion that this secret tool would assist them.
After the B17 crashes into the airfield, there is a close up of houses next to the field. These style of houses are typical of the UK built in the 1960's / 70's era. One of them also has a modern day roof sky light.
After the aircraft crashes, dialogue provides by way of explanation that the pilot was too slow and steep in the turn and stalled into the ground. However, the film of the aircraft crashing shows it on fire and flying straight into the ground (nose down at about 45 degrees), not stalling (which would either be very slow, nose up, or both and not on fire).
