  • Continuity: At Rebecca's first meeting at the savings company, she pulls out a small notebook and lays a pencil to the left of that notebook. In the next shot as she's pulling out a small pencil sharpener, the pencil is seen on the opposite side of the notebook.

  • Continuity: While Rebecca is in the interview at Successful Savings you can see that the desk behind her becomes occupied and unoccupied as each shot comes back to Rebecca. The desk is occupied with Hayley talking on the phone with the green scarf on her lap and in the next shot she's nowhere to be found but in the following shot she's at the door giving Rebecca her scarf.

  • Continuity: In the fan dancing scene: the fan continues to change positions as they go from wide to tight shots.

  • Continuity: When her friend is trying on the wedding dress. Rebecca suddenly is wearing a pair of sunglasses out of nowhere. She plays with them in her hands. The glasses switch from hand to hand and then end up on her head, then her hands... then they're gone.

  • Revealing mistakes: When the receptionist at Dantay-West headquarters checks his email, one of the column headers in the email box screen capture is misspelled "Recieved".

  • Continuity: At the Successful Savings office, Luke says he wants Rebecca to go to the "APA conference"; in a two shot Rebecca asks Hayley what the APA conference is, then a shot of Luke, then back to a wide shot with Rebecca, and Hayley is not in it.

  • Errors made by characters (possibly deliberate errors by the filmmakers): When Suze and Rebecca are going over credit card statements, Suze asks Rebecca how she's going to pay off "16 thousand, TWELVE hundred, 62 dollars, and 72 cents" without a job.

  • Continuity: The bridesmaid dress had sleeves at the beginning of the movie then was sleeveless by the end.

  • Crew or equipment visible: When Rebecca first throws the block of ice to free her credit card, the block of ice falls from the stove to the floor and as the camera follows it, you can clearly see a crew member kneeling down in black jeans and tennis shoes.

  • Errors made by characters (possibly deliberate errors by the filmmakers): After talking to the Finnish man from Nokia, he claims "We Scandinavians like her", however Finland has never been considered a part of Scandinavia. Scandinavia is a historical and geographical region in northern Europe that includes, and is named after, the Scanian Province. It consists of the kingdoms of Norway, Sweden, and Denmark.

  • Revealing mistakes: There is a scene where Rebecca is riding in a cab and you see a close-up of the window. There are two billboards shown reflected in the window as product placement, both Disney features (Prince of Persia and G-Force). The reflection is not a mirror image (it is not in reverse). You can easily read the words.

>>> WARNING: Here Be Spoilers <<<

Goofs below here contain information that may give away important plot points. You may not want to read any further if you've not already seen this title.

  • Factual errors: SPOILER: Derek Smeath's efforts are, legally, governed by the federal Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, which he violates on at least four occasions: contacting Rebecca's place of employment by telephone; refusing to leave Rebecca's place of employment when asked by the receptionist, directing his colleague to threaten a debtor with public humiliation, and especially his entire diatribe during the television show. On the other hand, some *real* debt collectors ignore FDCPA, since it's not enforceable if someone doesn't complain, and many debt collectors assume (correctly) that most debtors don't know about, and so don't demand, the rights and protections that FDCPA affords them.

  • Continuity: SPOILER: In the last scene when the lead is walking past the mannequins and talks to the love interest, there is a series of cut aways between the female and male leads. For the cut-aways to the male lead there is a lady walking towards the camera behind him. At each cut back to him she starts again at the same spot.
