Show You How is the 1st video from Lindsey Buckingham's 2006 solo album Under the Skin. The video echoes the theme of the song - that life is passing by too quickly and that it is time to slow down. Lindsey has said this song is about his wife, and how she helped him to learn to slow down and enjoy life, and particularly, spend more time with his children, rather than working all the time. Throughout the video, we see Lindsey in his studio looking introspective, interspersed with many images from his life, shown at a frenetic pace. The montage initially shows scenes from Los Angeles, from a sunrise /sunset view, the skyline blurred by smog, busy sidewalks and many shots of driving around the streets with winding roads, rock outcroppings and trees. There are also speeded up shots of guitar strings, a sound board and tape machines throughout the video, reflecting that Lindsey's musical life .is also fast paced. Towards the end of the video, the video changes to reflect Lindsey roaming the hallways of his house while photos of his life are shown - starting with photos of Lindsey with members of Fleetwood Mac and their entourage, then going back to his childhood as it switches to pictures of Lindsey as he grew up. As the song comes to an end, the pace of the passing scenery finally slows down.
