A theater magazine presents this movie as dealing with immigration. It would be the far away truth. It's about a torn family, and especially the two daughters: one attracted by fashion, the other being a tomboy and in conflict to their father.
The fashion part is a kind of french "Gia" depicting the back alleys of stardom. The story of the rebel daughter is conventional but greatly played by Leila Behkti. Actually, she maybe repeats this kind of character (see "Harkis") but at least, she excels at it. It would be interesting to see to her filmography in 10 years.
In front of this young cast, the mature actors (Le Bihan; Aceri) are paradoxically not convincing at all.
