• The mainland Chinese release censors all mentions of the name "Shanghai" (where the opening battle takes place). Galloway's line "You guys made a mess at Shanghai" is edited to remove the last two words, while other uses of the city's name are bizarrely overdubbed with something that sounds like "Shanghaish."
  
  
• IMAX Cut: The IMAX version of Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen (released as a Wal-Mart exclusive "Big Screen Edition" DVD), features at least an additional minute of footage. During the movie, the screen resolution and aspect ratio occasionally changes to the larger (70mm) IMAX format for select shots (jumping back and forth between this and the standard aspect ratio in the middle of a scene). The scenes include a slightly extended Forest Battle sequence, with more shots of Decepticons exchanging fisticuffs with Optimus Prime, Sam reacting, etc. Two more sequences consist of footage of the giant "Devestator" robot, during his transformation in the desert and various assaults on the pyramid. Much of the IMAX footage are alternate takes as well.
