HBO Max is getting into the dating-show game with 12 Dates of Christmas, which, alas, does not actually have twelve episodes! The new dating reality series features holiday-themed dates, spanning across a short but drama-packed season.
Showrunner Sam Dean revealed to People that the first season is set to be
a total of eight episodes.
That being said, though, the show is taking a pretty unusual release schedule for those episodes. Rather than releasing them all at once in the traditional streaming model or releasing them one at a time like traditional TV, episodes are being released in three minipacks: three on Nov. 26, three on Dec. 3, and the final two on Dec. 10.
If that "package" release schedule feels familiar, that's because it's the same tactic that Netflix used for Love Is Blind earlier this year, spreading out 10 episodes over three weeks, plus a standalone reunion special. It's no coincidence that...

Following the death of blues rocker Spencer Davis on Monday, Steve Winwood has paid tribute to his former bandmate, who he called a “big brother.”
“I’ve known Spencer since I was about 13, he would have been about 22,” Winwood tells Rolling Stone. “I was playing a show at Birmingham University with my brother and his band, Spencer who was a student at Birmingham, was playing with a small group of musicians, we met and the the seeds of Spencer Davis Group were sown.”

When you watch the filmed version of a show like “Hamilton” or “Springsteen on Broadway,” it can feel like the next best thing to being there. But
Byrne’s spiky and exuberant 21st-century rock-concert-on-Broadway jamboree, which opened at New York’s Hudson Theatre on Oct. 20, 2019, consisted of the former Talking Head and 10 fellow musicians, all barefoot and dressed in silver-blue suits, dancing and marching and prancing and bopping around a bare stage as they performed 21 songs. A handful of the numbers came from Byrne’s 2018 album “American Utopia,” but close to half of them were Talking Heads songs, most of which were featured 30 years ago in “Stop Making Sense,” Jonathan Demme’s epochal Heads concert movie.
In “American Utopia,” the singer-musicians aren’t tethered to amplifiers or drum sets or big chunky keyboards. Most of them carry wirelessly amplified instruments, so they can stroll around the stage in a technologically liberated state of frictionless freedom.

Mumbai, Sep 9 (Ians) French producer-dj Feder has launched his new single titled Meghna, which is his version of nineties Bollywood hit, Ae ajnabi, originally composed by Ar Rahman for the Shah Rukh Khan-starrer Dil Se.
For Mani Rathnam's 1998 film "Dil Se", the song was recorded by Udit Narayan and Mahalaxmi Iyer. Feder discovered the song through a remix and instantly liked the original composition. He thought of creating a new version.
Paying an ode to the original, the track also borrows its title from the film's female protagonist Meghna, played by Manisha Koirala.
"I first heard this track while I was watching the American TV show 'Entourage', where 'Ae ajnabi' was sampled in. The remix had a more hip-hop vibe. Upon listening I decided to seek out the original and create my own interpretation of it," said Feder.

After botched laser eye surgery treatment, actress Faye completely loses her vsion and is trying to get used to life in the dark. We find Faye attending support groups and making visually impaired freinds who are helping her deal with things. She’s also falling for the leader of the support group, Luke, who is a mute and can only communicate through his mobile. We are going to spend the day/night with Faye as she learns she may not be as alone in the house as she thinks.
I am skipping straight to end with this review because, honestly, Blind is pretty average, not amazing but good enough to rave about either. However… Sarah French is absolutely brilliant in the lead role and holds this film up on her shoulders aloine.

No one expected this year’s MTV VMAs to be typical. The event, which usually takes place at an arena like New York’s Barclays Center, was forced to go virtual this year due to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic, but that didn’t stop the network from trying its best to keep the spirit of a live show, well, alive.
With the challenges of mandated quarantine and social distancing guidelines affecting cities coast-to-coast, all of this year’s performers, including Lady Gaga, Ariana Grande, The Weeknd and Miley Cyrus, pre-recorded their performances. And while not all were taped in New York, most made a nod to the city that birthed the once-influential all-music channel back in August 1981. It was a valiant effort, with some artists pulling out all the production stops, and others falling flat.
But the night wasn’t just all about the performances – there were other noteworthy moments,...

It was Charlotte rapper DaBaby's first-ever performance for the VMAs on Sunday, and a stellar night for it; DaBaby is up for four awards this year, including artist of the year, best hip-hop video, and best choreography for his music video for "Bop." With The Jabbawockeez at his side, DaBaby performed a medley of hits "Peephole," "Blind," and "Rockstar." His performance was a nod to recent protests against police brutality, with DaBaby riding cuffed in the back of a cop car before ending the performance against a backdrop of fire. Beyond this, it also referenced the Covid-19 pandemic, as during "Peephole," the set included cardboard boxes, which were knocked over and turned out to be full of face masks. You can watch the story unfold for yourself with his full performance above.
