Every so often a Hollywood celebrity will talk about quitting the business, taking time off to spend with family...or will go on late night talk shows looking disheveled and mumbling about how they're heading off on an adventure to start a musical career.
Now comes word that Oscar-winning actress Jennifer Connelly is about to quit the biz. In an interview with the UK's Daily Mirror, Connelly revealed that after What's Wrong with Virginia? finishes shooting, she will likely not sign on for any more projects.
"The biggest thing for me is wanting my kids to grow up safely and have happy lives," said Connelly. "To me that's enough. The family is the most important thing to me. I'm very blessed. I have gorgeous, healthy, funny kids and a good husband."
Connelly's father passed away recently, prompting a very sorrowful time for the 38 year-old actress. "...I went through a really »

Ho ho ho, Merry- wait, that’s not right. Gobble gobble! Happy Thanks- shoot, that’s not right either. Ahem. *evil high-pitched cackle* Happy Halloween! Ah, there we go. Sorry for the confusion there, folks. It happens when you try to get a Turkey Santa Claus costume for this special day. You get confused. For some reason, I couldn’t find one anywhere, but enough about me. And since it’s Halloween weekend, time for scary movies! Right?
Maybe not so much. At least not new ones, as it looks like Hollywood decided too many folks were going to be out trick-or-treating to check out a new movie this weekend. Fortunately or unfortunately, Saw VI came out last week and Paranormal Activity is still in theaters scaring up big bucks (more on that later).
First up this week, we have Michael Jackson’s sold out This Is It that opened on Wednesday. »

When watching "Friday Night Lights," everyone always says “ooh Minka Kelly is so hot.” But not me, I’m going outside the norm to say that the skinny hot blonde girl is my pick. Yeah, I dare to be different. So needless to say I’m glad to see Adrianne Palicki getting more work, both in Women In Trouble and soon Legion. Film School Rejects has a brand new Trouble poster featuring Palicki in her Halloween/stripper cat costume, which is... »

We're ridiculously excited about Legion, wherein Paul Bettany plays the Archangel Michael, opening up a can of whoop-ass on the heavenly hosts in order to safeguard humanity from a vengeful God. And our excitement has only increased with these rather nice new character banners over on JoBlo.com.Here we get Paul Bettany as Michael and Kevin Durrand as bad guy (insofar as that's possible for an archangel) Gabriel. Also present and correct are the human also-rans: Dennis Quaid's Bob Hanson, Lucas Black's Jeep Hanson, Tyrese Gibson as Kyle Williams and Adrianne Palicki as Charlie, the pregnant waitress whose unborn child is the Second Coming and the only being that can save the world. Click the image above for the full gallery on JoBlo.com Legion is out on March 5, 2010, which by our count is not nearly soon enough. »

Paul Bettany could have a good 2010 on the horizon. For that matter, so could director Scott Stewart. They've teamed up for Legion, due out in January, and Priest, coming next October. One's a vampire movie and the other deals with the apocalypse. Based on the fact that Bettany's wearing wings in this poster, which one do you think Legion is?
If you guessed vampire, please try again. Legion is one of those apocalypse movie that has some stuff foretold in the Bible, or that's the story. Bettany stars opposite Dennis Quaid and several others, although at Comic Con, all we really saw was a teaser poster featuring Bettany as the angel Michael.
Bettany et al are featured in these new character posters that were premiered at JoBlo. I guess technically it's a character banner, since all the shots go in sequence and work collectively. You can see the full thing over at JoBlo, »

The title says it all really doesn’t it? The new posters premiered over at JoBlo, but of course being a huge Paul Bettany fan, and loving the idea of Legion, I had to post them for you dear reader.
Each character poster features a member of the cast – Paul Bettany, Dennis Quaid, Adrianne Palicki, Lucas Black, Tyrese and Kevin Durand, and for those eagle eyed readers out there – yes each poster makes up a biblical quote from Matthew 13:49 which reads:
So it will be at the end of the age the angels will come forth to take out the wicked and throw them into the furnace of fire.

In its promotion effort, "Legion" unleashes six new character banners through Joblo. Each of the posters highlights on some of the main characters, namely Dennis Quaid's Bob Hanson, Adrianne Palicki's Charlie, Paul Bettany's the archangel Michael, Lucas Black's Jeep Hanson, Tyrese Gibson's Kyle Williams and Kevin Durand's the archangel Gabriel.
While the fresh banners are separate pieces of art, each of them contains partial biblical quotation of Matthew 13:49. Hence, if combined together in the correct order, they will spell out, "So it will be at the end of the age the angels will come forth to take out the wicked and throw them into the furnace of fire."
"Legion" takes place after God loses faith in humanity. As He sends his legion of angels to bring on the Apocalypse, the archangel Michael comes to stand between mankind and the apocalypse. Defending humanity's only hope, »

I wasn't initially planning on featuring these posters today at first glance, but after noticing that they all have a snippet of a longer, biblical quote on them, I thought why the hell not? Although I'm not particularly excited for Scott Stewart's Legion, starring Paul Bettany as the Archangel Michael, I do admire all of this marketing, as this imagery is badass and would otherwise sell me if it weren't for the trailer looking pretty bad. All six of these character posters come from JoBlo. Together they say: "So it will be at the end of the age the angels will come forth to take out the wicked and throw them into the furnace of fire." Awesome. Having lost faith in the human race, a legion of angels descend to Earth to bring about the Apocalypse. Humanity's only hope lies in a group of strangers trapped in a diner »
