Sex & Nudity

Violence & Gore

  • Lots of blood, gore and dismemberment.
  • Despite being rated T (Teen) for Blood and Violence, the violence is on par with a lot of M Rated games. On October 17th 2019, almost 3 months after the game released, when the new Code Yellow update of the game was released, the game was soon re-rated as M (Mature) for Blood and Gore, Language, and Violence
  • Pretty much every kill with the shotgun ends with a couple limbs flying off.
  • The player can kill enemies with a large weapon arsenal and with a few objects within the environment. Such as knives, skateboards and frying pans.
  • The player can kill well over 1000 enemies on each playthrough of the game and the game will reward the player with achievements the more they kill. The killing is glorified.
  • Options > Game > Blood and Gore > disable this option and the blood and gore will be removed, except when an opponent dies and a mark is displayed that quickly disappears, leaving it at the level of a Teen rated game

Profanity

  • One Incomplete use of 'Fuck'
  • 'Shit' is used a few times
  • Overall the swearing isn't very frequent.

Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking

  • Alcohol is seen a few times.

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • The whole game is pretty much one huge over the top action sequence with barely any breaks and the game is challenging even on normal difficulty (which most people will be playing on).

Spoilers

The Parents Guide items below may give away important plot points.

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • There is a scene where the player can commit suicide.
  • The backstory for the main character is a bit disturbing. Involving a crime family, self-harm, and suicide. However, this is only presented in text form and is not focused on until the end of the game.
